Multiplayer games - local network PS2
Playing multiplayer games over local area network (LAN) is a somewhat forgotten form of multiplayer, which had its heyday in the 1990s when Internet cafes were extremely popular. In LAN, players don't need to connect via the Internet, because their computers or consoles are directly connected to each other (wirelessly or with the use of network cables). This form of multiplayer is usually chosen by people who get together in one place (called LAN parties).

The improved Geo-Mod engine responsible for environmental destruction is a characteristic feature of the game. What returns as well, is the opportunity to steer various vehicles, such as tanks, aircraft or submarines. When juxtaposed with the original Red Faction, the sequel brings a slightly less linear plot and the ending is dependent on the player's decisions. Apart from that, both the visuals and AI of the enemies were improved.
FlatOut 2
Racing 30 June 2006

What's more, the crashes and car damage are visually even more impressive than in the original FlatOut, thanks to the improved graphics and an upgraded engine behind the in-game physics. The game offers 16 fully customizable cars, as well as 8 drivers differing in driving style and attitude towards opponents. FlatOut 2 brings both single player and multiplayer experience, for up to 8 players in the latter case. Additionally, Destruction Derbies were also included, similar to the original game. In Rag Doll events the player will "ski jump" or drive through fiery rings for example.
