Armored Core: Nexus Description
Armored Core: Nexus is the second standalone expansion to Armored Core 3, and a follow-up to the previous expansion,, Silent Line: Armored Core. This tactical shooter was developed by Japanese FromSoftware, the owners of the granchise.
Plot
Armored Core: Nexus is set 55 years after the events depicted in Silent Line: Armored Core. The war for influence between four corporations - Mirage, Crest, Kisaragi and Navis - ends up devolving into a genuine, all-out war. The player controls a mech pilot working for Raven's Ark, the replacement of Global Cortex from the previous games, thrown into the midst of chaos.
Mechanics
Armored Core: Nexus doesn't revolutionise the series' mechanics. The game makes use of third-person (TPP) or first-person (FPP) perspective, consisting of missions which take place on large open maps. The player controls a powerful mecha and battles opponents. Completing missions earns us money which can be spent on modifications of upgrades for our machine. These let us adapt our mech to our preferred playstyle and for specific challenges.
Game modes
Armored Core: Nexus supports singleplayer and multiplayer (via local network or split-screen). In addition to the story campaign, the game features remastered missions from the previous installments.
Technical aspects
The visuals of Armored Core: Nexus don't differ from those seen in Armored Core 3 and Silent Line: Armored Core.
