Minecraft Dungeons: Number of lives Minecraft Dungeons guide, walkthrough
Last update: 02 June 2020
While playing Minecraft Dungeons, you will encounter various maps where you may come across diverse types of monsters. Some of them will be very dangerous and may reduce your health significantly. Before we move on to the topic of regenerating health, let's find out more about the number of lives available on one map.
- Number of lives
- Death - consequences
- What to avoid with a small number of health points
- Health regeneration
- Resetting maps - how does it work?
Number of lives
Each map grants your character a pool of 3 lives. After losing all of them you will definitely end your gameplay in a particular location. In such situation, you have to start the whole map again.
However, remember that every available life grants you a lot of HP. You are able to regenerate constantly in order not to lose any of the available lives and enjoy the blissful peace.
Death - consequences
If you lose one of your lives you will simply respawn next to the point where you died. It won't affect your stats, your weapons or the current health of your opponents. If your boss lost a lot of HP and he killed you with a sudden strike then you will reborn just next to him and be able to finish him off. The enemy won't restore his health points.
What to avoid with a small number of health points
If you notice that the amount of your health is decreased then try to avoid the edges of the map and exploding barrels. The latter can cause a lot of damage and kill you.
Health regeneration
You can regenerate your character's health in several ways. We described them in detail on a separate page of our guide. As a reminder, these are the best methods of health regeneration:
- Health potions;
- Food;
- Upgrades and improvements which regenerate health.
Resetting maps - how does it work?
Yes. If you die, you lose your progress completely. However, exactly the same will happen if you complete the map and continue on. If you go back to your previous location it will be fully reset. It is a deliberate move of developers who wanted players to return to the locations and obtain better weapons.
