Zed - how to use this Champion?
Zed is one of the Champions fighting on the side of the Ionia region. Due to the low Mana cost and the useful keyword (Quick Attack), as well as the extra special ability, Zed is an extremely useful ally - especially at the very beginning of the duel. Remember that Zed always makes an exact copy of himself during an attack, so if you are going to strengthen this hero, do it BEFORE you approve the attack - this way Zed's shadow will also get this boost.
- Special Ability - during an attack, Zed summons his shadow (which has the same stats) that immediately appears in the line of attacking units. Please note that you can have a maximum of 6 units in the line. After the attack, the shadow disappears.
- Quick Attack - a keyword that allows Zed to deal damage before the enemy is going to strike. For example, if an opponent's blocker has 3/3 stats, then Zed should theoretically die when making an attack. But because of the Quick Attack, Zed will deal damage before the enemy makes any action and therefore kill enemy minion. Zed can be a difficult opponent to kill, especially in the initial phase of a duel.
- Level Up - Zed gains a new level when both he and his shadow hit opponent's Nexus twice. When he advances to a higher level, Zed gains additional statistics +1/+1.
Kinkou Wayfinder-how to use this Champion?
Kinkou Wayfinder is a unit that can produce an incredible pace. For 4 mana points, you get a supporter with 2/3 stats who additionally calls 2 units with a mana cost of 1. Not only that, in one swoop, you call 3 units that can be immediately ready for attack or defense, then, for example, you can strengthen Gringlade Duo at + 3/0.
- Allegiance is a keyword that triggers a specific action if the card at the top of your deck matches a specific region. In this case, the card on the top of the deck must be from the Ionia region.
- Calling units-Kinkou Wayfinder draws 2 units from the deck with a mana cost of 1 and places them on the board. It is important to note that summoned units activate their special ability. For example, let's say you summoned Omen Hawk and Navori Bladescout supporters. Omen Hawk will strengthen 2 units from the top of the deck, and Navori Bladescout will get the Elusive status.
Mulligan - the appropriate selection of cards
Each match begins with a so-called Mulligan phase where players select their cards. You have to decide which cards to leave in your hand and which can be discarded to redraw new ones. Shuffling always involves some risk, but sometimes you have to take it to get a chance to win.
- High priority-Omen Hawk, Navori Conspirator, Shadow Assassin, and / or Zed / Kinkou Wayfinder. Your goal is to put pressure on your opponent from round 1.
- Medium priority-you should consider leaving the Elixir of Iron spell on your hand if you are playing against an aggressive deck and you have to play against smaller opponent units.
Defense
Defense isn't the strongest point of the presented strategy, so you often have to use supporting spells (Elixir of Iron, Twin Disciplines), which makes it easier for you to perform a mutually beneficial exchange with an opponent's minion, or even send a troublesome opponent into the hands of the Player (Will of Ionia).
In addition to the powerful reinforcing spells in the deck of cards of Ionia and Firelord, there were some useful supporters, such as Kinku Lifeblade. In addition to the Elusive keyword, Kinkou Lifeblade has Lifesteal, so it can heal your Nexus. Kinkou Lifeblade can be further enhanced by Jeweled Protector to restore even more health points.
Offensive
The attack is the forte of the Ionia and Firelord decks. Low-mana cost units allow you to quickly fill up the board and constantly harass your opponent in the attack round. During an attack, it is useful to remember to use reinforcement spells and useful keywords, such as Elusive and Quick Attack.
- Elusive - a unit with this keyword can only be blocked by other unit with Elusive keyword.
- Quick Attack-a unit with the keyword Quick Attack deals damage before enemy blockers. For example, if you attack as Zed an opponent's blocker with 3/3 stats, you can safely eliminate it without losing your Hero.
- Spells-when planning an exchange with opponents, use reinforcing spells such as Elixir Of Iron or Twin Disciplines. This way, you will save your supporters who may come in handy in the next round.
- Windfarer Hatchling-a Champion who not only is included in the Elusive units - further strengthens all supporters on +2/+2 in this round. Introducing this unit to the game in the attack round can be crucial for your victory.
