Zed - how to use this Champion?
Zed is one of the Champions fighting on the side of the Ionia region. Due to the low cost of Mana and the useful keyword, as well as the extra special ability, Zed is an extremely useful minion - especially at the very beginning of the duel.
- Special Ability - During an attack, Zed summons his shadow (which has the same stats) that immediately appears in the line of attacking units. Please note that you can have a maximum of 6 units in the line. After the attack, the shadow disappears.
- Quick Attack - a keyword that allows Zed to deal damage before the enemy is going to strike. For example, if an opponent's blocker has 3/3 stats, then Zed should theoretically die when making an attack. But because of the Quick Attack, Zed will deal damage before the enemy makes any action and therefore kill enemy minion. Especially in the initial phase of a duel, Zed can be a difficult opponent to kill.
- Level Up - Zed gains a new level when both he and his shadow hit opponent's Nexus twice. When he advances to a higher level, Zed gains additional statistics +1/+1.
Tryndamere - how to use this Champion?
Tryndamere is one of the Champions fighting on the side of the Freljord Region. Due to the high cost of Mana, this Champion should be used in the later part of the duel. Tryndamere has a useful keyword.
- Overwhelm - A keyword that causes excessive damage to be transferred directly to enemy Nexus. In practice, if an opponent's blocker has 3 points of health and Tryndamere has 8 points of attack - 5 points of damage will be inflicted to the enemy's Nexus.
- Level Up - Tryndamere gains a new level when it gets eliminated. After advancing to a higher level, Tryndamere gains additional statistics and the Fearsome keyword.
Mulligan - the appropriate selection of cards
Each duel starts with a phase of the so-called Mulligan - a tactically significant stage, during which each player draws the best possible cards. During this time you can decide which cards to leave in your hand and which could be discarded or redrawn. Shuffling cards always involves some risk, but sometimes you have to take it to get a chance to win.
- High priority - Inspiring Mentor, Omen Hawk, Navori Conspirator and/or Scaled Snapper. Your goal is to put pressure on your opponent from round 1 onwards and strengthen the units in your hand/deck.
- Medium priority - Consider leaving the Kinkou Lifeblade in your hand if you are dealing with an aggressive waist. By buffing this card with Inspiring Mentor you can increase its stats and thus regain more health points in attack/defense.
Defense
The presented deck does not belong to the control category so it does not have units with very high health points or the Challenger keyword. You can use available units or spells during your defense, but don't block upcoming attacks with minions equipped with Elusive keyword - especially if they have low amount of health points.
- Deny - an extremely powerful spell that for just 3 Mana points can completely disable a spell used by your enemy.
- Will of Ionia - another strong spell that returns a unit to hand and removes all effects applied to it.
- Harsh Winds - a spell that costs 6 Mana points, which reduces the attack points of 2 selected enemy units to 0. Harsh Winds is useful when you block.
- Kinkou Lifeblade - a unit with 2/4 statistics, which can be buffed with Inspiring Mentor and Omen Hawk cards. Konkou Lifeblade has a Lifesteal keyword so it can cure your Nexus.
Offensive
Offensive is the strongest aspect of this deck. Low-mana cost units allow you to quickly fill up the board and constantly harass your opponent in the attack round. What's more, the deck has a lot of minions with Elusive keyword.
- Elusive - a unit which has this keyword can only be blocked by other unit with Elusive keyword. An alternative way of destroying such a unit is to use a spell or use a minion with Challenger ability.
- Overwhelm - a keyword that causes excessive damage to be transferred directly to enemy Nexus. Tryndamere has such an ability in this deck.
