Solutions to puzzles in The Basement Lake Ridden

In the chapter titled The Basement, you will reach a large, underground basement area. Your main task will be to shoot down a blue ball of light with a crossbow. However, to achieve this you have to first move a big chest. To complete this task, all you need to do is move the left knob of the nearby mechanism first, and then the right one. Thanks to this, the chest will move to the higher area, and you will be able to approach the crossbow without any obstacles.

When you get down to the lower level, you will see a crossbow. Opposite to the weapon, there are shelves with barrels and chests, the sphere is located there amongst these items, and your task is to shoot it down. However, after your first shot, the spring will fall off. You must fix the crossbow. To do this you have to open the door on the right side of the crossbow. These doors, however, are secured by a padlock. To open it, you must arrange the appropriate shape on the padlock. Pay attention to the light and the edges of the object, you need to precisely match the shades of different fragments. When this is achieved, the door will open.

Inside you will find a music box. You must open it in order to get a screwdriver. To open the music box you have to repeat the exact melody that it will play. You must do this 3 times. When you wind up the music box, you will see how the individual buttons move. After finishing the melody, you will have to click all of these buttons just like the game showed you before. In the screenshot above, we have marked the individual buttons with numbers. Below you will find the exact course of each melody. All you need to do is click on the buttons marked with the appropriate number.

The first melody - 3, 4, 8, 3, 2

The second melody - 7, 2, 4, 9, 8, 1

The third melody - 6, 2, 4, 9, 2, 7, 6

After collecting the screwdriver, you must move the chest again. Approach the lifting mechanism and turn the right knob first and then the left knob. Thanks to this, the chest will be moved to the lower level again. Go to it, remove the screwdriver from your inventory and use it on the chest. This will allow you to acquire a spring. Return to the crossbow. Remove the spring from your inventory, place it in the crossbow and shoot the blue ball.

A different dimension

When you shoot down the blue ball, approach it. It will take you to another dimension again. In this place, you have to follow the lights. They will take you to three chests, each one holds another source of light. In the end, the lights will lead you to a statue. You must set the combination on the mentioned statue in the correct fashion. You have to drag the light down from the upper left side, then to the right and then up again. When you achieve this you will return to reality.
