This page of Heavy Rain Game Guide contains a description of The Doc scene. Madison Paige visits Dr. Adrian Baker's residence. For the first time, the life of the controlled character will be in real danger. In this chapter, you can earn two new trophies.

Important: Madison can die in this chapter. Her death will have numerous consequences:

1. No further chapters with Madison will appear. This includes: [Sexy Girl], [Ann Sheppard], [Killer's Place];
2. The only ending available for her will be [Dead Heroine]. That means endings [Heroine], [Square One], [A New life], [A New Start] will become blocked;
3. You will not be able to sleep with Madison in [On the Loose] - Madison will obviously not be present there;
4. Madison will not be able to reach the [Old Warehouse].

This is how drinking with strangers end...

Knock on the door, tell Doc why you are here. Don't let him close door and enter. Agree to have a drink and talk to him. Tell him you need some stuff. He will encourage you to drink:

1. You may have a drink but it turns out to be poisonous. The action will move to the basement and you have to do everything you may to safe Madison.
2. You can refuse to have a drink. The Doc will go for some drugs and this lets you explore the house. This option will grant you a Smart Girl trophy.

Screaming won't save you, but struggling will

You don't have to explore full house. Just find Blue Lagoon card, which can be found in the bedroom on the left.

Now there are two options:

1. You can get out of the house as soon as possible with the card you found. If you succeed, you will miss the scene in the basement (and unfortunately the associated achievement related with this action).
2. You may get caught by the doc and stunned. Madison wakes up in the basement.

If you led to the capture of Madison, struggle and scream as much as you can until The Doc goes to see who is ringing the door. Stop screaming, but keep struggling. You will manage to free one leg. Use it to pull the drill closer. Turn it on, then raise your butt and kick the drill towards your hands. Try to free before Doc is back. You will have to fight him anyways, but this way you will also gain the Queen of Ropes trophy.

Now fight him. Eventually the battle will become dramatic - The Doc will be drilled. Few times you will have to jerk the gamepad in order to break free. Be cautious during the final part of the scene when Madison will pretend that she is dead - it is a critical moment when you will finally get rid of the enemy. It is easy to lose focus then.

If you don't break free fast enough (you have plenty of time, as Doc will go out twice) or if you lose the fight - Madison will die.
