Fight with Hand of Hecatonchire | Chapter 1: Prison of the Damned GoW: Ascension Guide

Disappointed about you Fury will summon the first boss, a Hand of Hecatonchire. A key to success is avoiding his powerful blows.
All encounter can be divided onto two parts. The first one is fighting a boss on the arena, where you've faced smaller enemies a moment ago. Boss makes powerful and slow attacks, signalized by far swings. Attack of two claws is signalized by leaning all his body. When he hit the claws in the ground, he'll be immobilized. It's a good moment for a few attacks. But don't stand in front of him, as he'll pull his claws in a while. Avoid single attacks until the short series doesn't stop. Both after this series and a single double blow, you'll have a time for performing few hits yourself.
First phase ends when you stun the boss and a white arc appears over his head. Perform a grab and push buttons appearing on the screen.
After that, the second part of fight begins. Arena becomes a narrow wall, limited by abyss and ground form the previous phase. On the wall, on which you're standing, you find two holes. Boss' attacks depends on your location. If you're on the higher level, he'll lean forward and use claws at all length of the arena. Avoid this attack hiding in one of holes.
If he finds you in the hole, he'll place himself above it and stab it. Avoid it, jumping on the higher level. Attack boss when he ends one of his attacks. More time for that you'll get by provoking him to stab into the hole.
Alternately dodging and attacking, you'll make a red arc to appear over boss' head. It's a signal for grabbing and finishing him.
When you defeat him, you begin sliding down the walls. try to avoid obstacles - remember that Kratos reacts quite slowly.
