Tomb Raider: Legend

The seventh major installment of the Tomb Raider series. As the previous parts of the game were not received very well, a new studio – Crystal Dynamics, with Toby Gard, the creator of the original series, in its ranks – was entrusted with the game. Setting-wise, the title goes back to its roots, which means exploring ancient tombs and catacombs. During the gameplay you will visit a number of exotic locations, including Himalayas, Bolivia, Peru, Japan, Ghana, Malaysia, England, and Kazakhstan. The production offers new skills, weapons, and a whole new range of useful gadgets unavailable before. Lara’s character has also changed, both mentally and visually. The graphics are powered by a new engine, which allows for bigger interaction with the environment and changing weather conditions.

Another installment in the highly-rated action adventure game franchise following on the eponymous Prince, who in the past carelessly unsealed the mythical sands of time. After events of the previous part of the game, the protagonist return to his home – Babylon – plunged in the chaos of war. Soon it turns out that the previous actions of the hero led to the birth of his dark alter ego, whose spirit gradually takes over control over the protagonist's will. Prince of Persia: The Two Thrones expands the mechanics implemented in the two previous installments and introduces new improvements to the combat system, as well as some innovative uses for the dagger of time and skills unavailable before, like sneaking. The biggest novelty offered by the game is the possibility of controlling two characters different with personalities, fighting styles, and abilities.

Sequel to the 2003’s Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time, rebooting the story of the hero from the classic 2D platformer from Broderbund Software studio. This time the prince has to deal with consequences of his reckless actions. He managed to turn back time and prevent releasing The Sands of Time, but he did not change his destiny, resulting in Guardian of Time chasing him to seal his fate. He travels to the mysterious island where, according to the legends, the Sands were made; the prince attempts to change the past and prevent their creation, thus saving himself from the fate. Prince of Persia: Warrior Within has a much darker atmosphere, but the gameplay is similar to its predecessor. Our hero must overcome many obstacles and traps, not to mention enemies. Game introduces a new, expanded fighting system, with prince himself becoming stronger and gaining new abilities.

An action adventure game which is a remake of the 1989's Prince of Persia, one of the most popular platformers of all time, originally developed Broberbund Software. The game was created by Ubisoft Motreal and Jordan Mechner – the father of the original game, who worked on The Sands of Time as consultant and lead designer. The game tells a story of the eponymous Prince who accidentally releases the legendary Sands of Time, a mystical artifact that poses a terrible threat to the world. With the help of the beautiful princess Farah, the protagonist has to make up for his mistake and bring back order to his land by facing various creatures and dangers. Gameplay of Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time is seen from the third-person perspective and features fully 3D graphics. During the course of the game, the hero makes use of the supernatural power to control the time. The creators emphasize their effort to recreate the characteristic elements of the original title, like realistic animations and combat system.

An adventure game with strong action and platform game traits. It was developed by Double Fine Productions. The player assumes the role of a boy named Razputin, Raz in short. His dream is to become a member of the titular Psychonauts, a squad that is maintaining peace in the world. After sneaking up into one of the training camps, the protagonist discovers that the cadets are mysteriously disappearing. Raz, accompanied by his loyal friends, tries to discover this mystery. In Psychonauts the action is presented by using a third-person perspective. The game features more than a dozen of varied levels – most of them take place inside the human minds. During the game Raz must face various enemies, solve some more or less complicated traps, and avoid many dangers. Luckily, the boy is able to jump, swim, climb and sneak. He also has access to a set of paranormal skills, including telekinesis, levitation and invisibility. The game features nice looking graphics. Similarly to previous games of this developer, the title is filled with humor.
Rayman 3: Hoodlum Havoc

The third installment in the series of adventures of the eponymous friendly hero. Released for PC Windows and consoles, the game is an action platformer. Rayman and his friends, Globox and Murfy, have to face the army of Hoodlums. As you play, you explore new, colorful locations, from beautiful, magical places to ruined areas inhabited by hostile creatures. Visually, the game looks better than the second installment — the textures and animations have been improved. The Game Boy Advance release, however, is a 2D platform game utilizing a side view perspective. In this edition, you need to find a cure for Globox, who accidentally swallowed the evil Dark Lum Lord. It is also worth noting that the production is among the visually best ones for Nintendo handhelds.
KAO the Kangaroo: Round 2

A continuation of a three-dimensional platformer developed by the Polish studio Tate Multimedia (previously known as X-Ray Interactive). Kao the Kangaroo: Round 2 returns to the titular hero, who once again embarks on a demanding journey all around the world to save hundreds of animals that have been abducted by an evil poacher and his band of thugs. The game sees us travel through 20 varied levels in five different worlds filled with difficult obstacles as well as numerous vehicles and objects. Moreover, our hero has to face over 30 types of opponents that can be dealt with seven different weapons, including a tail slash or a boomerang. Fortunately, Kao is supported by other animals, including a pelican or a whale. As always, the levels are full of different collectibles and hidden bonus sections.
