Stellaris Video Game Series
A space strategy series launched in 2016. The series Stellaris was created by the Paradox Development Studio team, a company specializing in the strategy game genre, with a portfolio that includes such brands as Europa Universalis, Hearts of Iron, Victoria and Crusader Kings.
The first production from under this banner, titled simply Stellaris, was a real-time strategy with RPG elements, which came to PC in May 2016, and after less than three years also appeared on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The title allowed players to take control of a selected race and lead it towards domination over the others. The production offered a wide range of options related to diplomacy, technological development or warfare, and the space map on which we fought for victory was procedurally generated. In addition, the game allowed both single and multiplayer play.
Stellaris was a great artistic and commercial success. On the Steam platform, it enjoyed "very positive" reviews, in turn, according to Metacritic, its average ratings from industry media ranged from 77-81/100 (depending on the platform). The authors quickly set about developing the project, so over the years it lived to see a veritable flurry of add-ons, among which one could find both relatively small DLC and extensive expansions.
In June 2020, the mobile spin-off of this production, titled Stellaris: Galaxy Command. The work of Paradox Development Studio drew handfuls from the achievements of the original, allowing players to lead a civilization on the road to regaining its former glory. The game was developed with multiplayer play in mind, where thousands of players shared a common universe, and their actions shaped the entire galaxy.
In 2024, another spin-off saw the light of day Stellaris, under the title Stellaris: Nexus. The production, which was developed by the Whatboy Games team, was a turn-based strategy of the 4X type, prepared with multiplayer gameplay in mind. In it, players led a civilization to fight for control of the title planet Nexus. The original solution used in this position was to speed up all events to such an extent that a single session in the game lasted no longer than an hour.
Productions from under the banner Stellaris can boast high-quality graphic design. Both space views, often breathtaking, and models of units traversing interplanetary space can appeal.
