RoboCop: Rogue City Description
RoboCop: Rogue City is an FPS by the Polish studio Teyon, known for such games as Rambo: The Video Game and Terminator: Resistance. It was published by Nacon.
Plot
RoboCop: Rogue City is set in retrofuturistic Detroit. Increasing class division (the wealthy live in luxury while the poor - in inhuman conditions) causes the crime rate to skyrocket. The authorities, unable to handle the situation, outsource their jobs to the Omni Consumer Products corporation.
One of their "products" is the titular RoboCop - Sergeant Alex Murphy, mortally wounded and brought back as a cyborg. Though he's meant to fight criminals and follow his directives, soon he discovers the only laws in the city are corruption and greed.
Mechanics
RoboCop: Rogue City is a first-person shooter. The game is mission-based, tasking us with visiting the darkest corners of Detroit and facing hordes of thugs.
Regular criminals don't pose a major threat. The cyborg is inhumanly strong, able to throw enemies like ragdolls, extremely durable and wielding the iconic, powerful Auto-9 handgun. Facing other creations of OmniCorp though will put us on the backfoot - enemies such as the ED-209 walker are even larger, tougher and more destructive.
Technical aspects
RoboCop: Rogue City features decent visuals. The game features a nice treat for the fans of the franchise, as Peter Weller, the star of two first RoboCop movies, reprises his role as Alex Murphy.
