God of War Collection

A pack containing the first two games from the bestselling God of War series, remastered for the users of next generation consoles. In both games, originally released for PlayStation 2 in 2005 and 2007 respectively, we learn the story of the Spartan warrior Kratos, currently a hatchet man working for the Olympians. The gameplay is implemented in the form of a brutal third-person slasher, as we deal with a throng of mythological monsters and even mighty gods like Ares, or Zeus himself. We also meet many famous characters and get some mythical artifacts that help us fight in various ways. The first two parts in the series that comprise the God of War Collection have been refreshed by Bluepoint Games studio, now supporting 720p resolution and 60 FPS. The support for Trophies, not present in PlayStation 2 editions, has also been added.

The Ratchet & Clank Trilogy is a set of the first three parts of the 3D platformer series with a nice pair of characters in the title role. The package includes games: Ratchet & Clank, Ratchet & Clank: Going Commando and Ratchet & Clank: Up Your Arsenal. Thanks to the efforts of the Idol Minds development team, the classic titles have been re-mastered to the High-Definition standard and enriched with a number of new elements.

A 2D RPG developed by Japanese studio Vanillaware. The game combines elements of such genres as classic beat’em up games, platformers and fantasy RPGs. In Dragon’s Crown the player becomes a hero looking for gold and glory. Together with his companions, the protagonist is trying to obtain the eponymous treasure hidden deep in an underground labyrinth. In order to reach their objective, the heroes must pass through forgotten ruins and face monsters inhabiting them. The protagonist can belong to one of six character classes with various abilities. During the game the player can move only in two directions and the gameplay is fast and intensive. Many various opponents will try to stop the player, to defeat each of them different battle strategies must be employed. The greatest challenge are the boss battles, usually consisting of several phases. The game focuses mostly on a cooperation mode for up to four players.

A compilation of two games developed by an independent British studio, Puppy Games, now re-released on PlayStation consoles. The package contains Titan Attacks! and Revenge of the Titans – two titles previously released on PC in 2011 and 2012 respectively. The first game is a two-dimensional retro shooter, heavily inspired by the classic Space Invaders. We assume the role of a commander of the last tank on Earth, and our objective is to save the planet from invading hordes of aliens. Revenge of the Titans is a classic tower defense title – the player builds various defensive structures which are to repel continuous waves of attacking enemies. Both games return with a reworked interface, and are now running in 60 frames per second. As could be expected, the controls have been remapped to fit a console gamepad (or PS Vita buttons).

A remastered version of the Japanese 2D action RPG - Odin Sphere - which was released in 2007 on the PlayStation 2 console. The story of the game takes place in a fantasy reality loosely based on the Richard Wagner's famous epic opera Der Ring des Nibelungen and focuses on the stories of five, seemingly unrelated characters. The player gets to know each of them better as he progress in the game and their histories intertwine with each other, creating a single, epic tale. Similarly as the original game, Odin Sphere: Leifdrasir focuses mostly on combat, and the token jRPG elements such as exploration and dialogues are kept to a minimum. In contrast to the original 2007 game, the remastered edition offers improved graphics, slightly upgraded gameplay and new enemies and bosses. Fans of the original game can play using old rules in the special Classic mode.

Dead Nation is a dark shooter released through PlayStation Network. While playing, we play as one of the survivors, who stands in front of a hordes of zombies. In addition to solo mode, there is also a multiplayer available. Thanks to it, we can cooperate with our friends both online and via split-screen.

A sequel to the dynamic action game with RPG features inspired by the Monster Hunter series and developed by Bandai Namco Entertainment. Like its predecessor, God Eater 2 was made for PlayStation handhelds. We play as a hero wielding a magical weapon, whose party must deal with more and more powerful monsters. The story starts three years after the events of the first game, in which the world witnessed the invasion of monstrous beats, halted only by the titular God Eaters. An arcade battle system is still based on player’s reflexes, and it is important to come out with proper tactic before the fight. Each adversary has its own strong and weak points, discovering which is the key to success. Hero’s weaponry has been expanded with two new weapons: Boost Hammer and Charge Spear. Aside from single player campaign, God Eater 2 offers improved multiplayer mode.

A science fiction action-adventure game by Bandai Namco, based on the manga and anime series known outside Japan as The Asterisk Wars. A.W. Phoenix Festa takes place on an island, the surface of which is mostly occupied by a modern metropolis and the campuses of six rival magic schools. You can play as either the series' protagonist, Ayato Amagiri, or an anonymous Seidoukan school student. Depending on whom you choose, the plot is either linear and follows the event of the series, or is more loose and can end in different ways. The game consist of two main segments, the first one focusing on the daily life in the academy (including training sessions, which upgrade your stats, and the option to romance the female students). Another element is combat, which takes place on enclosed arenas, resembling the battles of the classic fighting and hack-and-slash games.

A classic jRPG with turn-based combat system, developed by Spike Chunsoft in collaboration with MonochromeCorp studio, and an informal sequel to the 2011 Grand Knights History, both games developed under the lead of Tomohiko Deguchi. The game is set in a fantasy realm divided between four warring factions. We start as a leader of our own mercenary group and with the progress of the game we embrace the cause of one side of the conflict. Skirmishes have been presented in a side-scrolling perspective and take place in a turn-based system with profound tactical essence, forcing players to carefully plan their next move and use all sorts of combos and special abilities. Gameplay is supplemented by a visual novel type of narration.
