Obsidian studio head Josh Sawyer has revealed which elements from Baldur's Gate 3 he would like to include in the next installment of the Pillars of Eternity RPG series, if one were to be created.

Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire will be released on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One early next year. The game will be released in two versions (standard and collector's). Both will contain the latest updates and add-ons. We still don't know when the title will go to Nintendo Switch.

The chief designer of the Pillars of Eternity series confessed that the chances of creating the third installment are low. The reason is not only the commercial failure of Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire, but also the fact that the creators do not fully understand the reasons for the flop.

Versus Evil will release Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire Ultimate Edition on consoles. In addition to the base version of Obsidian Entertainment's masterpiece, the set will include all expansion and updates, including the turn-based mode.
