We play the role of a scientist named Jurgen Mortyr, who decides to go back in time and restore the original course of history. The levels are located both in the year 1944 and in the future. Players receive a set of tools and with the help of their xbox avatars they can transform the virtual world almost freely, drilling tunnels, erecting buildings and sculpting terrain. An important aspect of the game is the ability to host in your work characters directed by friends from the Xbox Live service.

Asylum’s plot has been inspired by such works as H.P. Lovecraft’s prose and Hammer Film Productions’ movies.
