Battlefield 1943 Description
Battlefield 1943 for PC, PS3 and X360 is a first-person shooter dedicated to online gameplay. The game is set in the reality of World War II, namely during the Japanese-American campaign for control of the Pacific Islands. The players have the opportunity to fight in the most famous historical sites, such as the Iwo Jima island, where one of the decisive battles of the Pacific conflict were fought, Wake Atoll, taken during the attack on Pearl Harbor by the Japanese, and on the island of Guadalcanal, where the American made their first successful landing during the war with Japan.
Battlefield 1943 continues the tradition of the previous installments of the series, that being fighting battles using a variety of vehicles. Besides the classic infantry combat, the players can also use planes, tanks, jeeps, and landing crafts. The developers gave the playersthree character classes: Scout, Riflemen, and Infantry.
All equipment available to the players is also faithful to historical reality. Up to 32 people have a wide range of tactical possibilities in the ongoing battle. There are sniper rifles, explosives or even melee weaponry in the game. Interestingly, all firearms have an unlimited supply of ammunition, which is a big departure from existing solutions of the Battlefield series. In addition, the health of the characters regenerates itself.
Just like Battlefield: Bad Company, Battlefield 1943 for PC, PS3 and X360 uses the Frostbite engine developed by the Swedish studio, DICE. One of its biggest advantages is the possibility of complete interaction with the environment. All elements of the world are destroyable. The engine also provides high-quality details, regardless of the distance separating the player from the target.
