It was initiated in 2020 by the game Final Fantasy VII Remake, and then continued in 2024 by the Final Fantasy VII Rebirth second part. Final Fantasy VII Remake Part 3 (working title) is being made by Square Enix, which has been overseeing the brand from the beginning.
