TheSixthAxis: 7 / 10 by Aran Suddi
EA Sports FC 25 is a slightly better offering than FC 24, thanks to the new Rush mode. FC IQ is still in its early stages and while it could have a huge impact on future titles, it is not yet very apparent how it is impacting the on the pitch action in this game. This is the EA Sports FC as you already know it. Whether that is a good or bad thing is up to you.
GameSpot: 6 / 10 by Richard Wakeling
With an overhauled tactics system and a thrilling new mode, EA FC 25 makes some positive steps forward that are unfortunately tempered by long-standing issues and a lack of improvements elsewhere.
Push Square: 8 / 10 by Sammy Barker
EA Sports FC 25 is the best playing version of the annual soccer sim in quite some time, with more intelligent artificial intelligence and weather physics adding a layer of density and dynamism to the experience – albeit largely offline. To us, Ultimate Team feels like it's getting a bit stale, but we like the addition of Rush across the entire release, which offers something a little different for when you fancy a change of pace. And while the commentary and menus are below par, the overall quality of the presentation continues to be underappreciated.
The main pros of the game
- Gameplay Improvements: Some users noted improvements in gameplay mechanics and player movement compared to previous editions, indicating a smoother experience.
- Rush Mode: The introduction of the new 5v5 Rush mode has been positively received, offering a fresh way to play with friends.
- Manager Mode: Some players found the manager mode relatively enjoyable, with a well-rounded structure and new tactical options.
- Cosmetic Customization: The ability to create visually appealing players in Clubs mode received praise.
- Music: The in-game music was mentioned positively by some users.
The main cons of the game
- Bugs and Glitches: The game is plagued with numerous technical issues, including frequent crashes, unresponsive controls, and various bugs that hinder gameplay.
- Server Issues: Users reported constant server disconnections and lag, making online play frustrating.
- Gameplay Mechanics: Many players criticized the gameplay for being sluggish, with poor passing mechanics, unresponsive AI, and an overall lack of fun.
- Pay-to-Win Elements: The Ultimate Team mode is seen as heavily favoring players who spend money, leading to frustration among those who do not.
- AI Issues: Users complained about the AI's inconsistent behavior, including defenders not performing adequately and goalkeepers being ineffective.
The features or elements that are missing from the game according to users
- Quality Control: Many users expressed disappointment over the lack of attention to bugs and glitches that have persisted from previous versions, indicating a need for better quality assurance.
- Improved AI: A demand for more intelligent and responsive AI in both offensive and defensive roles was noted.
- Gameplay Balance: Users are looking for a more balanced gameplay experience that does not feel scripted or predetermined.
- Customization Options: Some players felt that the customization options in Ultimate Team and Career Mode were lacking, specifically the inability to adjust player roles and formations effectively.
- Community and Reporting Systems: The absence of a reporting system for AFK players in Rush mode and issues with matchmaking were highlighted as areas needing improvement.
Summary
- Overall, while there are a few positive aspects to EA SPORTS FC? 25, the overwhelming sentiment from users is one of disappointment due to numerous technical issues, gameplay frustrations, and a perceived lack of innovation compared to previous titles in the franchise.

EA Sports FC 25 Description
EA Sports FC 25 is the second installment of the series of football games, which was launched in 2023 and replaced the FIFA series made by EA Sports. The creation of a new brand was a result of the inability to reach an agreement on further cooperation between Electronic Arts and the Federation Internationale de Football Association (FIFA). This time Jude Bellingham appears on the cover of the game.
Rush
EA Sports FC 25 brings a number of new features, the first of which is Rush. It is a special 5 on 5 mode, which allows for playing matches on a smaller scale in such gameplay variants as Football Ultimate Team, clubs, quick matches, and career. It is designed for gameplay in the company of up to three friends and a goalkeeper controlled by AI.
FC IQ
The second important new feature introduced in EA Sports FC 25 is FC IQ. It brings profound changes to the tactical foundations of all areas of the game, providing us with greater strategic control and making the actions of the entire team more realistic.
A separate fresh model of artificial intelligence should also be mentioned. It is based on data from real matches and it assigns new roles to football players, also leaving a mark on their tactics.
Career
Career mode returns in EA Sports FC 25. For the first time in the history of football games from EA Sports we can lead both male and female soccer players and clubs from the five best women's leagues to victory. Another novelty includes so-called dynamic starting points, placing players at the center of the most important real-world events, such as mid-season transfers or changes in the managerial staff.
Ultimate Team
In EA Sports FC 25 there is also an Ultimate Team mode, in which we buy or draw card packs with athletes. Based on them we build our own team.
Licenses
EA Sports FC 25 offers official licenses for more than 19,000 real football players. In addition, it features over 7,000 real teams and 30 leagues, as well as more than 120 faithfully recreated stadiums.
Game modes
In EA Sports FC 25 we can play alone or in multiplayer mode - locally or online.
Engine
EA Sports FC 25 uses the Frostbite engine, which was also used in the previous installment of the series.
Ultimate Edition
In addition to the standard version, EA Sports FC 25 is also sold in the Ultimate edition. Pre-ordering it before August 20th 2024 offers bonuses such as a seven-day early access to the game, 4600 FC points, a spot for evolution and a dynamic hero card in Ultimate Team, or a football card in Ultimate Team in EA Sports FC 24.
