How to Fix Controller not Working in FC 25
UPDATE 2: Title Update #2 for FC 25 was released on October 1st, addressing issues with controllers not working properly. However, if you're playing on Steam, ensure your input settings are enabled.
UPDATE: It appears that the developers haven’t fixed gamepad bugs for PC version of FC 25. Players are still experiencing problems, even after the game's full release. In their most recent announcement on September 26th, the EA Sports FC 25 Team assured players that they are working on these issues.
Here are a few solutions that might help resolve the issues with controller not working properly while playing EA Sports FC 25:
- Check your Steam Input settings. Open the Steam app, go to “Settings,” and in the “Controller” tab, enable all controller options.
- Ensure the gamepad is connected to your PC. While playing with a wired controller can be inconvenient, sometimes it's necessary. It may take some getting used to, but in many cases it helps.
- Sometimes, turning on or plugging in your controller after you start the game can sort out the problem.
Incorrect Controller Prompts in FC 25
When dealing with incorrect prompts, enabling your device in the Steam controller settings usually does the trick. But, if you’re still seeing wrong buttons while using PlayStation or Xbox gamepad, it may be a bigger problem, potentially similar to one that Marvel vs Capcom Collection Arcade Series had. In that case, we might have to wait for the developers to release a fix.
