One assumes the role of Chuck Greene, who, along with his daughter bitten by one of the titular undead, is trying to find a car with some reserves of Zombreks - a medication that a bitten person has to take every twelve hours in order not to turn into a living dead.

Worlds Adrift takes us to a land filled with islands that float in the air, and we move between them on board various flying vessels. Taking care of the ship’s state and enhancing it is a key element of the gameplay, while you have to remember that the bigger the ship, the more players it needs to be properly staffed.

The game (also known as Oort Online during its Early Access period) allows the players to explore a couple of diversified worlds that are connected with each other through a system of magic portals and all together work as the game's universe, on which the players have a significant influence. The game's plot focuses on searching for the traces of the extinct Oort civilization to find out what caused its demise.
