Medieval Dynasty is an intriguing mix of Dynasty series of life simulators with action RPG and survival from the Polish studio Render Cube. We begin as a modest medieval hunter trying to survive in the wilderness to found his own city over time.
Medieval Dynasty is an action RPG life simulator with elements of survival and strategy developed by Polish studio Render Cube. This is the second production of the team from Lodz and completely different from its debut project: Monster League go-kart racing game from 2018. This time the Poles created a realistic production set in the Middle Ages, reminiscent of the Czech Kingdom Come: Deliverance. The game is also another part of the Dynasty cycle of Toplitz Productions, although clearly different from its predecessors.
Plot
The protagonist is an eighteen-year-old peasant who, after the death of his parents, leaves his family home to find a job and enter adulthood. He counts on help from an experienced uncle, but it turns out that the relative has been dead for some time. Thanks to the help of a local castellan, the young man receives a piece of land and decides to take care of his future on his own, with an ambitious plan to establish his own settlement and gain a reputation in the area. In the process, she will also learn about her uncle's mysterious past.
Mechanics
The gameplay in Medieval Dynasty bring to mind the Kingdom Come Deliverance of the Czech Warhorse studio. The action is observed from the first person perspective (TPP), and the gameplay focuses on exploring the open world of the game. In it we can find NPCs who can give us various tasks, but also hostile bandits and wild animals. The beginning resembles typical survival games: we try to take care of the hero's basic needs by providing him with water and food, hunting and farming. It's also important to gather basic materials and build Racimir a simple house. Over time, you'll gain access to more advanced resources, needed to upgrade the structure and create more durable tools.
The main goal of the game is to create your own village, and over time to transform it into a prosperous city. In the game you will find 18 types of buildings, which you will be able to develop as you unlock the next options from the hero's skill tree. The game is varied by numerous side quests and challengesas well as the possibility of starting your own dynasty of magnates.
This involves a special system of reputation, shown by the king's interest in our dynasty. In any case, our decisions have a significant impact on the gameplay. Moreover, as the village develops, we will have to take care of the economy, trade with neighbors and take care of the well-being of the subjects.
Technical aspects
The 3D graphics in Medieval Dynasty focuses on realism. The game world changes with our actions (the game allows for interaction with many objects, e.g. trees, stones, etc.), and the dynamic weather and seasons also have an impact on the game. Wild animals, not only faithfully reproduced, but also interacting with each other in the same way as their real counterparts do. The game is based on Unreal Engine 4, thanks to which the graphics are basically high level.

Medieval Dynasty Review: To Heir Is Human
If Animal Crossing was set in the Middle Ages and featured more realistic survival and crafting mechanics, it would be called Medieval Dynasty. Killing animals for food would also have to be there.

GamesCreed: 3.4 / 5 by Joshua Burt
Medieval Dynasty is an interesting game with almost too much content. While not all of that content is exemplary, the game is still riddled with purpose filled chores and community management that makes this game stand out amongst its survival counterparts.
GamingTrend: 75 / 100 by Ron Burke
Like some sort of peasant Animal Crossing, Medieval Dynasty casts us in the role of mayor of Dysentery Village. You'll slowly grow from labor-intensive shacks to a semi-self-sufficient hamlet through the sweat of your brow, building a dynasty that will last generations. You'll just wish your peons would pitch in and carry their own water...and stop eating the buckets.
MMORPG.com: 7 / 10 by Emily Byrnes
While there are still clearly some stark improvements that can be made, I think that Medieval Dynasty succeeded in bringing something new to an already saturated and stale genre, and can be a lasting favorite, as long as they continue to make improvements and provide updates.
The main pros of the game
- Immersive Experience: Players appreciate the detailed medieval setting, including the graphics, music, and the sense of village life.
- Variety of Activities: The game offers a mix of survival, crafting, building, and management, allowing players to engage in different aspects of gameplay.

- Continuous Updates: Players commend the developers for regularly updating the game, improving quality of life, and adding new content.
- Customization Options: The game allows for customization in gameplay settings, enabling players to tailor their experience.
The main cons of the game
- Micromanagement: The game heavily relies on micromanagement, which some players find tedious and overwhelming, especially in maintaining a self-sustaining village.
- Repetitive Gameplay: Many reviews mention that the gameplay can become repetitive, particularly once the village is established and running smoothly.
- Limited NPC Interaction: Players feel that NPCs lack depth and personality, making interactions feel shallow and unengaging.
- Combat and Questing Issues: Combat mechanics are described as underdeveloped, and quests often consist of tedious fetch tasks that lack excitement.
- Resource Management Challenges: Users express frustration with the lack of tools to manage resources effectively, leading to imbalances and inefficiencies.
The features or elements that are missing from the game according to users
- Production Limits: Players desire a system that allows for setting production limits to avoid overproduction of certain items.
