Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth is full of content for anyone willing to sink into the beautiful island of Hawaii. While its main story may take a while to boil, and never feels quite as good as the side stories, Ichiban's adventures always entertain and delight.
The main pros of the game
- Character Development: The game features strong character arcs, particularly for Ichiban Kasuga and Kazuma Kiryu, allowing players to connect emotionally with their journeys.
- Improved Combat Mechanics: The turn-based combat has been enhanced, offering more strategic depth and variety with the introduction of movement and area-of-effect mechanics.
- Rich Content: There is a vast amount of side content, mini-games, and activities that keep players engaged, with many users praising the abundance of things to do.
- Visuals and World Design: The game is noted for its beautiful and lively environments, particularly the recreation of Hawaii, which adds freshness to the series.
- Humor and Quirkiness: The blend of humor and serious storytelling remains a standout feature, making for an entertaining experience.
- Nostalgic Elements: Many returning characters and references to past games create a sense of nostalgia for longtime fans of the series.
The main cons of the game
- Story Weakness: Several users felt that the narrative was weaker compared to previous installments, with some plot points being disjointed or unresolved.
- Technical Issues: Some players reported crashes and bugs, particularly after updates, affecting their gameplay experience.
- Grindiness: While there are many activities, some players found the game to be overly grindy, especially in terms of leveling and collectibles.
- DLC Practices: The New Game Plus mode being locked behind a paywall was widely criticized, with many considering it an anti-consumer practice.
- Pacing Issues: The pacing of the story was noted to be uneven, with some chapters dragging on while others felt rushed.
The features or elements that are missing from the game according to users
- Better Writing and Character Development for Antagonists: Users expressed a desire for more compelling and well-developed villains, as many found the antagonists lacked depth.
- Quality of Life Improvements: Some players wished for more intuitive systems for managing side quests and collectibles, as well as options to skip certain repetitive tasks.
- More Emotional Closure: There were calls for a more satisfying conclusion to character arcs, especially for Kiryu, as some felt the ending did not do justice to his legacy.
- Improved NPC Interactions: A desire for more varied and dynamic NPC behaviors and interactions was noted, as some found the NPCs to be repetitive.
- Flashbacks and Recaps: Users suggested that flashbacks or recaps could help clarify character relationships and plot points for players who may not remember details from previous games.
Summary
- Overall, "Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth" appears to be a well-received installment in the series, though it does have its share of criticisms and areas where players feel it could improve.

Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth Description
Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth is the eighth main installment of the Yakuza series and a direct sequel to 2020's Yakuza: Like a Dragon. It's a jRPG developed by Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio and published by SEGA, both studios responsible for the franchise.
Plot
Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth is set after the series' seventh installment. It once again stars Ichiban Kasuga, alongside the previous series lead Kazuma Kiryu, who both get drawn into a web of unexpected events, forced to go on a yet another crazy adventure.
Mechanics
Gameplay-wise, Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth follows the path set by the seventh game. The game makes use of the third-person perspective (TPP) and is set in an open world. Players complete story objectives and, as usual, a staggering amount of side content. Once again, it mainly consists of numerous mini-games.
Oftentimes we encounter enemies in turn-based battles reminiscent of old-school jRPGs. To succeed, we must skillfully use our party's unique abilities. Speaking of a party - both Ichiban Kasuga and Kazuma Kiryu are playable in the game.
Technical aspects
Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth runs on an upgraded version of the Dragon Engine. It thus features high-quality graphics and an advanced physics engine, which plays an important role in combat.

Like a Dragon / Yakuza Series
Yakuza (Japanese. Ryu ga Gotoku - Like a Dragon) is a series that began as TPP action adventure games, while in 2020 began a love affair with the jRPG genre. The essence of gameplay in productions under this banner are spectacular clashes, in which we mostly use our own fists, white weapons such as clubs or samurai swords, as well as elements of the environment, such as trash cans or bicycles. Firearms are present, but usually do not play a major role. The protagonists have numerous fighting styles, which we can upgrade. Of great importance are impressive finishers, in which opponents are eliminated in a particularly impressive way.
