Spring's in full swing and summer's around the corner. When it comes to games, the situation in May 2022 is pretty decent – there will be no shortage of good productions for fans of all kinds of games.

I announced April as the month of connoisseurs and indeed, it lacked high-profile premieres. How does May compare? A bit better, but also without much bells and whistles. Okay, there's Kao The Kangaroo, who will sweep away all the competition! And that's not enough for you, you should be able to find some productions worth your attention. For example, I already know I will try Trek to Yomi!

Loot River brings some eye-catching pixels...

At first glance, Loot River is a production that doesn't really stand out. How many pixel-art roguelike games are there on Steam already? Certainly a lot! Loot River adds hack'n'slash mechanics to make the on-screen mayhem even more interesting. Additionally, there's also a place for Tetris! Thanks to this, we're not dealing with another clone, but with something truly extraordinary.

...Which will splash your screens with Tetris!

Playing Loot River is kinda specific because parts of the map resemble blocks known from Tetris. You have to arrange them in such a way as to get to the designated places, avoid enemies or lure them into traps. This seemingly simple mechanic will provide a number of different possibilities, additionally enriched by the skills of the main character. If, however, you make the wrong call and perish, you will have to start this adventure from the beginning.
