Based on voxel technology, this sandbox RPG game resembles the mechanics and graphic style of the popular Minecraft. In the game we explore areas of huge and fully modifiable planets built of cubic blocks, on which allegedly a foreign shipwreck has occurred. An inseparable element of the game is the crafting system, which allows you to create simple tools, and - after getting the necessary diagrams - more advanced constructions.

Stellar Overload Description
Planets3 is an open-world sandbox RPG that evokes associations with the popular Minecraft in terms of graphics and gameplay mechanics. The authors of the game - independent French studio Cubical Drift - creatively developed the ideas of their predecessors from Mojang, introducing to their production a number of own, innovative solutions.
The action of the game takes place in a fictional world, in which a spacecraft crashed, piloted by strangers of humanoid shapes. However, the discovery of the site and the secrets associated with the disaster is only a pretext for the unhindered exploration of a vast area divided into a number of diverse regions. A group of planets, built of characteristic cubic blocks, was made available to players. Each of them may be modified in any way at our sole discretion. The game area is inhabited by a variety of creatures that behave aggressively or friendly. With the former we are forced to fight, perfecting our character in a number of useful skills, which will transform her into a heavy armed knight, or a quiet and undetectable ninja. The second group of animals can be tamed and used, for example, to move around a larger area.
As in the Minecraft mentioned above, the essence of the game is to explore and modify the terrain and collect raw materials that will be used to create both simple tools and more advanced constructions. In contrast to competitive production, however, the crafting system has been subjected to certain restrictions. The creators introduced to the game a number of independent characters, specializing in various fields. During the game we will meet chefs, builders, farmers, warriors, blacksmiths or engineers who, in return for help, will reciprocate with their knowledge. Thanks to this, we will obtain, for example, a diagram of the construction of a car or a house, which we will be able to materialize with the use of raw materials and tools available in the game.
In technical terms, Planets3 differs from Minecraft in particular with its three-dimensional Ogre engine, which uses voxeli technology to generate the landscape. Each of the planets explored consists of approximately 12 trillion blocks, which makes the terrain in the game less angular and much more realistic. The physics of the game is on an equally high level. In terms of gameplay modes, Planets3 resembles the competitive production of Mojang. We can continue the game on our own, focusing on exploration and building, or we can organize ourselves in groups, which will be able to cope with the opponents occupying the area much faster.
