What do we owe to Wolfenstein: The New Order?

Wolfenstein: The New Order has shown that the Bethesda studio is doing a great job of bringing back the iconic 1990s shooters. They understand their essence, their atmosphere, but also the direction they need to go in order to be attractive to contemporary productions and to new generations of players. The New Order not only paved the way for the sequel to Wolf, but also for the reboot of Doom, whose next two parts proved to be just as great in every way. In addition, a number of titles nostalgically alluding to 1990s shooters have also been released among independent games. Veterans remembering the first part of Quake, Duke or Hexen really have something to choose from.
