What is Hades about?

Hades is another independent production from the authors of the famous Bastion and Pyre. Studio Supergiant Games created a rogue-like RPG with randomly generated levels, in an isometric view, while fictionally referring to Greek mythology. We play the role of Zagreus – the son of Hades who ruled over the world of the dead, and our goal is to escape from the afterlife and travel to Olympus itself.

The matter is hindered by numerous enemies, with whom clashes aren't easy at all, but in this mission, every experience counts. Development of our character allows us to obtain new skills and re-visit some of the harder opponents with a new set of surprises and capabilities.

What can you do for a hundred hours in Hades?

The length of the game in Hades depends largely on our skills, because fights aren't easy. Generally, the main plot can be completed in roughly 20 hours. Whatever remains is optional content for eager ones. We will increase the game time to a hundred hours once we focus on the careful exploration of all levels and finding all kinds of improvements and gifts.

WHY WORTH IT? PLAYER'S OPINION

If not the second part of The Last of Us, Hades would be my game of 2020. It is a wonderful gem, from which it is simply impossible to break away. I haven't spent 100 hours in it yet, but I'm still far away from discovering all the secrets, learning the whole story – and I still want to play. In my opinion, this is one of the best releases of its kind in history, on a par with the splendid Dead Cells.
