In the end, everyone wants an MMO.

I recently scolded Blizzard, but I quietly and sincerely hope that Diablo IV will turn out to be at least good. I don't believe it will meet the players' expectations. In the end, it's a legendary franchise, and it's always hard to please fans of these. If I said that I had a good time playing Diablo III, people would probably scoff at me. And if I mention that adding the MMO element to the latest installment was a perfect move for me, I guess no one will even talk to me. Either way, I'm going to wait for player reviews – just in case.

The Diablo we deserve?

A lot has already been said about Diablo IV, so I will only outline my concerns about microtransactions. On one hand, it's a very expensive game, but on the other, it's a "live service" title. Of course, we don't expect Blizzard will suddenly stop taking our money so eagerly. They definitely intend to develop their product, regularly serve new content, sprinkle it with battle passes or other goodies. That's how MMO games work, but I'm worried that it's just an excuse to milk the community some more. Especially when people seem to be begging for it.
