Not all that alien

Once upon a time, there was Aliens: Fireteam Elite, which didn't really conquer the market and didn't steal the players' hearts. Now, in turn, Aliens: Dark Descent is coming, created by a different team, but on paper, the gameplay idea seems quite similar. We have a top-down view, a unit of soldiers, action, and lots of enemies. So what's different? Supposedly: quality, tactical elements, and the fact that we manage the team ourselves here.

Same, but better?

Aliens: Dark Descent is a tactical action game in which we take control of a five-person team. There are no tactical clashes with xenomorphs here – everything takes place in real time, and the gameplay puts a huge emphasis on reflexes. We need to quickly give orders to our protégés, so that they can deal with the enemy's forces. Interestingly, the game world changes under our influence, so we can create bridgeheads and safe places that we will use in later stages.
