11. The First Kamehameha

At the start of the first series, Toriyama skillfully balanced between combat sequences and adventure scenes. Subsequent clashes were often interspersed with humorous situations and it was not yet known that in the future the latter would increasingly give way to the seriousness of Goku's deadly opponents.

At the beginning of the series, we couldn't even be sure of the strength and abilities of characters such as Yamcha, Kuririn or just Kamesenin. When in one of the first episodes the emaciated old man with difficulty climbed the wall in front of the burning mountain and after a while he almost fell off it, it was hard to suppose that he would be able to complete the task.

Besides, Kamesenin never really completed the task. He did extinguish the fire, but so what, since he also destroyed the entire mountain. Nevertheless, both his transformation into a bodybuilder and the incredibly powerful shockwave make a huge impression even today. Show of hands, who has ever tried to duplicate Kamesenin's feat!
