Disciples: Liberation. Biggest video game surprises of October 2021

Disciples: Liberation turned out to be a rather pleasant surprise and did not result in the demise of the brand.

What is Disciples: Liberation?

This is the fourth entry in the popular strategy RPG series. The world is presented in an isometric view, and battles with subsequent opponents take place in a turn-based system. The developers ensure that the plot of their production is long (~80 hours), multi-threaded, and the decisions made during the game affect the fate of the land of Nevendaar.

What did it surprise us with?

The fact that it did not cause a mass rebellion of fans, who harshly scolded the new part of the cult series before the premiere. The reality turned out to be much more positive – gamers enjoyed it, and the average reviewer score of 72/100 on Metacritic is quite a solid result.

Is it worth it?

I think nothing should be stopping you from giving Disciples: Liberation a chance. While veterans of the series insist that it's a much simpler experience than it used to be, that doesn't seem to stop most players from having fun.
