The only superhero movie on our list - but boy it is good! It's hard to say whether Matt Reeves' Batman is a better interpretation than what Christopher Nolan gave us a few years ago, but it's certainly a worthy answer and a contender for the title of one of the better bat stories. Many months before the premiere, it was speculated that it will be a total failure - after all, Bruce Wayne is played by Robert Pattinson himself, whom many people still remember as a vampire from Twilight .

Fortunately, the outcome was satisfactory - we got detective cinema at its best, which appealed to the biggest fans of this superhero, as this is how he is presented in the comics. In addition, a new version of Riddler also works well. And even if the movie is a little bit lengthy, there is really nothing to complain about. Now the wait for the second part...

Since we decided to place at least one superhero film on the list, it is worth stopping for a moment and consider what other superhero titles could meet the criteria for the best films of 2022. Like Pilate, I wash my hands of my choices, but what the public wants is what the public wants. We certainly won't include Black Adam or the latest Thor here - these movies are known more for memes they spawned than for the fact that they were good. However, when it comes to Doctor Strange 2 and the second Black Panther , the bar is raised a little higher. They don't really top any of the selected titles, but if it wasn't for this year's premiere of Batman , one of them would definitely be on our today's list.
