Act III | Walkthrough Divinity: DC Guide
Last update: 04 July 2016
The final map is pretty narrow and long. The enemy capital is exactly at the other end so, you are up for quite a walk. Additionally, the large isle to the North is important. This one, for the time being, is under control of the enemy. Seizing it is key to succeeding in this mission. Otherwise, it will be used on a regular basis for attacks, to cut the long and extended lines. Note that with a map this thin, it is easy to divide and surround the armies stationed here. Under no circumstances can you allow this to happen and you should take preventive measures straight away. Corvus has quite a number of vessels in the sea at his disposal. So, again you will have to focus on the development of ships and gathering a fleet of some 10 ironclads and 5 juggernauts. Before you get to it, focus on seizing the nearby regions. Firen Tiriel to the east already has the war factory that you need to seize quickly. At the same time, it is very heavily protected so, gather the nearby armies close to the land (most probably you will be attacked so take the measures to secure the nearby territories, including the capital in Orche) and focus on the Northern regions.
It would be great if you could seize control over Qualina Alda and Mordburn already in the first round. Your forces are strong so divide them in a way that grants victory in both areas at the level of, at least 40%. Mordburn will probably receive reinforcements from the east so, you should send there even larger forces, just like presented in the screenshot.
If everything went according to the plan, you can now easily launch an attacks on Firen (the screenshot) and then , seize the isle to the South also. You have united all of the areas relatively quickly and you can afford to catch some breath. Spend the next few turns on building new structures and development of the fleet. React to all ships and aircraft that approach you and take them out as quickly as you can. Pay special attention to transporters. They will be, usually, coming by themselves so, they will be an easy target for your ironclads. Under no circumstances can you allow any of them land at your shore.
Just as expected, the Northern isle will pepper you with ships and aircraft. And that in all directions. Therefore, before you take any action at your enemy, you will have to halt enemy attacks from behind once and for all. He greatly outnumbers you at sea but, almost infallibly, his units are scattered and in small numbers. Organize three groups of 5 ships and you should be able to cut through one region after another easily, end eliminate the squads. Gather your army and deploy it quickly to the North to alleviate the threat of constant attacks. You should now give up the production of basic units like grenadier or warlock. From among the ground units, produce armors and destructors only. Remember to protect well your transports that travel across the sea and never leave them by themselves.
After you are victorious at sea, you should have no problems seizing the isle itself. Once you do, the enemy will be locked at both sides and the game will be, virtually, won. There is nothing else left to do but attack the enemy from above and below, which he will definitely find more and more suppressing.
After you seize the capital and finally defeat Corvus, you can congratulate yourself on the job well done. You will still have a moment on the Raven to talk to your generals and counselors for the last time. Once you finish, go to Maxos to destroy Corvus and imp technology once and for all. This way you will finish the campaign mode in Divinity: Dragon Commander! Congratulations!
