Game modes in Cooking Simulator Cooking Simulator guide, tips
Last update: 04 July 2019
Below, we describe each of the modes and advise on the order in which it is best to start playing Cooking Simulator. Read more about the career mode in the chapter "Career Mode."
COOKING SCHOOL
This is a set of several tutorials that teach the game's rules. I recommend you to start your journey there.
Note: this list of [tutorials] is scrolled. Moving the mouse wheel, we can see the remaining ones.
FREE MODE
A mode in which you can experiment, train, learn, fail and test everything to your heart's content. Everything is unlocked and available, all the recipes are there to try out. We can also play mini-games with throwing knives, experiment with the interior design (available from the laptop), test the skills (also on the laptop), play with gravity (the 'N' key) or just see what we can break.
There are no goals and objectives - you decide what you do.
CAREER MODE
The "main course" and the focus of the game - a mode that provides a standard "from zero to hero" path, where, just like Gordon Ramsey you can transform a shabby old restaurant into a shiny place worthy of a Michelin star. It is based on 2 overlapping systems: economic (as presently reported to us in the tutorial "everything costs") and the level of "fame" and prestige associated with pleasure and scores from our guests - which translates directly into our income.
Of course, all this happens under the pressure of time, which determines the pace of the game.
Our goal in the career is to achieve a 5-star level of prestige of the restaurant and unlock all 67 of the recipes.
