The world of Conan Exiles is full of dangers and threats. On this page of the guide you can find typical mistakes that should be avoided in order to begin the game more efficiently.
- Don't overdo exploration
- Watch out for raw food
- Don't leave not-skinned bodies
- Be careful during nightfall
- Leave items in the chest
Don't overdo exploration
At the beginning of the game, don't go wandering into further reaches of the map - you're still weak and without equipment. Don't explore too far into land, as farther away from the starting point, the more powerful enemies and less hospitable aura. You'll go exploring as soon as you're ready.
Watch out for raw food
Eating raw meat is only viable when you unlock Survivalist perk. If you haven't unlocked that perk, don't think about it. You'll only get food poisoning that will deplete your health. Instead, cook the food first at the campfire, and eat it then.
Don't leave not-skinned bodies
After defeating an animal or a human, you can take his items. However, you can also cut the body into pieces or skin it using a special knife or even an axe. Simply attack the corpse to get additional materials.
Be careful during nightfall
Avoid wandering around during the night, and rest and wait for the morning instead. If you have to explore at night, prepare a few torches. Also, watch out for sandstorms that are very dangerous - it is better to stay indoors then.
Leave items in the chest
Don't carry valuable items on you - e.g. because after your unfortunate death, you'll lose the items you had on you (to retreive them, you need to visit your death site) Before embarking on further expeditions, place the valuable items in the chest which is found in your base.
