To extract some raw materials, you need tools that you can build in the crafting menu.

In Conan Exiles, most of the used items must be created on your own. It might happen that from the defeated enemies some already finished items will drop, but most often it is a weapon or a piece of clothing. In the game there is a very complicated item crafting system. Below are some tips that apply to this aspect of the game.

In order to create more advanced items, you need to learn to do so. As the level of character increases, you get knowledge points that can be spent on the skills you desire. Start with stone tools and buildings made of sandstone, but end up with very complex structures, or armor, which would disappoint a best armorer.

In order to have required resources to create specific objects, you need to look for appropriate raw materials. Most of them, have to be gathered or created by you.

Tools - at the beginning of the game, most of the raw materials you need are stone, wood and vegetable fibers. Also, you will need an axe to collect the wood, and a pickaxe for picking stones. The different tools are also applicable to other raw materials. For example, if you hit a tree with a pickaxe, you will get a bark fragment.

Some parts (required to craft complicated items) have to be manufactured by your character. With vegetable fibers you can create the string that will be needed for the production of a chest or an axe. As the game progresses and your character develops, more advanced items will be needed to produce specific items, which can be crafted in the character menu with the appropriate raw materials.
