Perks in Black Ops 4 Blackout Mode Call of Duty Black Ops 4 Guide and Tips
Last update: 31 October 2018
While playing a match in Blackout mode in Call of Duty: Black Ops 4, you can easily gain an advantage over the opponents by using the special green chests found around the map. These chests contain special Perks, which, after activation, improve the parameters of your character. Each of the picked up assets provides a different bonus, and their use in key moments can be of paramount strategic importance. These crates are very common and completely random: there are no unique perks or places where specific perks appear and others do not. Below you will find a list of all available Perks and advice on how to use them. Remember that an activated perk still takes up a slot in your inventory! The perks have been sorted based on their usefulness.
- Outlander
- Paranoia
- Awareness
- Dead Silence
- Medic
- Skulker
- Consumer
- Mobility
- Reinforced
- Engineer
- Looter
- Squad Link
- Iron Lungs
- Brawler
Outlander
Duration: 3 min Reduces the damage received outside the safe zone. The Outlander is one of the strongest perks. You will not have a use for it at the beginning of the game, but it is an incredible thing to have at the end of the game if you do not want to openly engage other players. Use the Outlander and a set of first aid kits to survive outside the zone for even a minute after the match time expires. |
Paranoia
Duration: 4 min Are you afraid of unexpected sniper attacks? Maybe it would be better if you knew when someone was targeting you? Use Paranoia and you will receive a sound signal when someone is aiming at you, long before you get the chance to detect him yourself. It will allow you to avoid numerous traps. |
Awareness
Duration: 2 min It improves hearing. Thanks to this, you will be able to improve your ability to hear the steps of approaching enemies (even ones that are sneaking), distant shots and vehicles. Take care - using this Perk is not always advisable! In small, cramped and multi-storey rooms, improved hearing can make you feel confused and overwhelmed. Note that the operating time of this perk is very short. |
Dead Silence
Duration: 4 min Dead Silence is a perk that minimizes the noise you generate when moving. Remember, however, that this is not a 100% reduction. When you walk you can still be detected; when crouching - if the enemy does not notice you, he will not know that you are coming. You will also quietly open boxes and pick up items. A very useful perk. It works great when combined with Skulker. |
Medic
Duration: 4 min You heal faster and more effectively. You also recover the health of your allies much more quickly, and they receive more health after being resuscitated than by default. A useful asset when playing team games. It is worth combining with the Consumer perk. |
Skulker
Duration: 3 min It works great when used together with Dead Silence. The Skulker perk allows you to maintain normal walking speed while crouching. |
Consumer
Duration: 5 min Thanks to this perk, you can use your first aid kits and other items faster (e.g. preparing grenades, using other perks). If you do not like gadgets, you can activate this perk whenever you like and quickly improve your health situation if it becomes necessary. It works great when combined with Medic. |
Mobility
Duration: 5 min You move and change your weapons at a faster rate; you move faster while reloading. The usefulness of this perk is limited because the difference in speed is minimal. Fortunately, the perk also neutralizes fall damage. |
Reinforced
Duration: 4 min This perk strengthens the player, making him more resistant to everything, except for gunfire. You gain greater resistance to traps, explosions, and fire, as well as stun and flash grenades. |
Engineer
Duration: 4 min It allows you to see nearby vehicles, even if there are obstacles obstructing your line of sight; it also allows you to see enemy traps such as mines or barbed wire through walls. |
Looter
Duration: 2 min You can see objects and crates through walls. You can save a lot of time while searching buildings or locate equipment that would otherwise be hard to discover. |
Squad Link
Duration: 2 min You can see your allies through walls. This can be useful in the final phases of the game to better differentiate allies from enemies in those final, tense moments. |
Iron Lungs
Duration: 5 min Hold your breath for longer: both underwater and while trying to stabilize your shots when using a sniper rifle. |
Brawler
Duration: 4 min Deal increased damage in melee combat; you will also gain +50 health points for each killed enemy. The least useful perk, mainly due to the risk involved in attempting to kill an opponent with your bare fists. |
