How can I quickly gain experience levels in Call of Duty Black Ops 4? Call of Duty Black Ops 4 Guide and Tips
Last update: 22 October 2018
Experience in different online modes in Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 is gained independently for each game type: multiplayer modes, Blackout, and Zombie. Experience is not always very important: in Blackout mode, it is only used to unlock skins and emblems, but in multiplayer modes it allows you to unlock new weapons and rewards for a killstreak (support).
Multiplayer mode
- Earn medals: During the game, you will learn about the different medals that are awarded for special activities: first blood, single kill (e.g. shotgun/sniper), destruction of enemy equipment or revives. You will also receive them for simple activities, such as achieving mission objectives - but not all of them are worth the same...
- Complete challenges: in the lobby, you can preview the challenges for the selected game mode. The fastest way to complete challenges in those multiplayer modes that bring significant experience bonuses at the end of the round.
- Play with different weapons: for unblocking their accessories (through multiple kills with the given weapon) you get a bonus XP. This is especially true for newly unlocked weapons and those you haven't played with (low-level weapons unlock accessories faster; just like rarely used weapons: pistols (easy to advance by playing in the Heist mode), or the rocket launcher.
- Game modes: Many people recommend leveling in Control and Domination modes because you can get a lot of points there for capping points, you can respawn quickly, and on the defending side you can often perform nice killstreaks. Personally, however, I recommend Kill Confirmed - it is fast and dynamic. In this mode, stick to groups and most importantly collect the dog tags. This way you can earn a lot of experience points and unlock support rewards faster. In addition: allied, uncollected dog tags can be used as a bait for an enemy, to a prearranged trap.
- It is a good idea to play the above modes in the Hardcore mode - if you can cope without the interface. The games are much more dynamic, so the round is usually shorter; in addition, it is easy to win many additional medals.
- As additional equipment, it is worth to use the rocket launcher. Few players have it, so it's easy to collect points. You will receive them for destroying enemy gadgets and machines, including e.g. helicopters or reconnaissance drones (for which you will also receive medals at the end of the round), as well as enemy barricades or mines hidden behind walls. At the same time, it is worth to equip yourself with the Engineer's attribute, which allows you to see all the enemies' traps and gadgets through walls.
Blackout Mode
The quickest way to earn a large number of experience points (Merits) is, of course, to kill as many players as possible in the shortest possible time; survival is not mandatory - it takes a lot of time and is very risky. Further full levels of experience are called echelons.
So, the best way is to jump out of the plane at the very beginning together with other players and immediately dive down. The idea is to be able to find weapons against other players and defeat quickly those who were not lucky enough to find any. Even if you die soon, you will be able to earn a few points.
Scores:
- The reward for frags: 20 points for a single player. In twos/ quadruples, where the player is knocked down before his death: kill him or knock him down and let someone else kill him and you score points. You won't get them just for knocking them down if your opponent is resurrected and survives.
- Rewards for survival: 50 points. For TOP15; in Fours- TOP5.
- The prize for victory: regardless of whether it is a personal or group victory, - the prize is 100 points.
