Teamwork first!

Everyone knows it's true, but few actually walk their talk. It's absolutely crucial in PvE, PvP, and Versus. The most fundamental thing is to stick together! Do not get separated from others, for there is little you can do alone. If you get caught by a specific zombie and you don't have the right item to kill it, other players might not have enough time to help.

Don't staty in the same spot for too long

Shooting zombies is great, but do not get distracted from your main goal, which is getting to the safe room. On some maps, standing still means certain death. Zombies don't stop spawning, and your resources of HP and ammunition will soon be depleted. It's important to find a balance in killing opponents, and pushing forward in order to complete a given map.

Save on ammo and items

It may seem that having the maximum amount of ammunition for a particular weapon will let you easily reach the end of the map. That's completely wrong! First of all, try to make sure that your every shot reaches the target. The same applies to various offensive and auxiliary items, i.e. meds and various kinds of grenades. You really don't want to be in a situation where you run out of ammo...

If only there is an alternative way to kill a given opponent available, take advantage of it. There is no point in using the main weapon if you can destroy the enemy with an alternative weapon, including melee weapons.

You can use items on other players

For example, if you have a large number of health points, and your ally is almost dying, make sure to heal them first with your own items. You will restore a significant part of the health points to your companion. To do this, equip the healing item, approach the person you want to heal, and then use the item on them. You can do the same with ammo if you have a surplus.

Exploration is crucial

Although the maps are usually not very large, and in most cases it is difficult to get lost, it is worth to sometimes deviate from the main path and go to places that aren't required to complete the map. We're mostly talking about the edges of maps here. You can often find interesting items there, such as chests with objects or ammunition, and even rare weapons, which are often much better than those that you currently have.

Also, look for open buildings and cars. In many cases, this is where you will find CP, which is the currency that allows you to buy items, weapons, ammunition, or team perks in the safe room.

Exploit weak spots of your enemies

More powerful types of zombies have visible weak points that you should focus on. These are specific points on the body, with distinctive color. Dealing damage to these points will save you some time and resources that you can use to defeat stronger enemies.

Assemble your own deck

A deck can hold up to 15 cards. Each card contains a unique effect that we can use as we move through the map. However, it's worth remembering that these effects aren't activated immediately after being selected from the deck. With each completion of the next map, we're able to choose one of five cards randomly selected from our deck. This means that when you start the first map, you will be able to select only one card, i.e. one effect.

Moreover, the card that is at the very top of the deck – the first card you choose – is the starting card, and it is always in your deck. Therefore, if you have a favorite effect that you do not want to risk missing, choose it as the first card.

Each character imposes a unique style of play

When starting a given act, you will have to choose one of several characters available in the game. Remember that each of them has slightly different abilities, so the style of the game changes a bit. For example, Jim strengthens his accuracy and damage for a short while after successful headshot kills. In contrast, "Mom" can immediately revive one of the comrades. Selecting the proper composition of your team is essential in creating a successful party. Damage is important, but defensive and supporting skills are equally vital.
