Before you reveal murderer's identity you need to answer some questions.

LITTLE GREY CELLS

Why did the murderer make a mistake in the address?

  • The murderer always warned Poirot about his murders.
  • The error in the address caused the letter to be delivered late.
  • The letter's late arrival saved the murderer.

Why did the killer send his letters to Hercule Poirot?

  • Poirot's address is not very well known (5 ego points).

What do we know about Cust?

  • Cust is easily influenced.
  • Cust was wounded during the war.

How to explain Cust's presence at the crime scenes?

  • Alice Ascher and Betty Barnard are in Doctor Clarke's medical records
  • The murderer found a way to access Doctor Clarke's medical records and tried to burn them in order to hide his tracks (5 ego points)

Say that just one murder is of interest to the killer (3 ego points), then indicate that Donald's firm worked for Clarke (3 ego points).

LITTLE GREY CELLS - PSYCHOLOGICAL PROFILE OF DONALD FRASER

Is Donald clever?

  • He's a bright man with a promising career ahead of him.

Is Donald sure of himself?

  • Mr Poirot, since Betty's death, I have doubts about myself... I don't know what to do. And, I keep having a horrible dream... three nights in a row!

Is Donald a seducer?

  • Well, women seem to like him! I think Megan will take care of him...

Does Donald like trains?

  • I'll sleep on the train. I like trains. It's easy to sleep, rocked by the sound of the wheels.

Is Donald impulsive?

  • It was an awful scene. She told him that, until they were married, she was free to go with whoever she pleased. Donald turned quite pale and started shaking and kept saying, one day... one day...

Is Donald generous?

  • He would have made Betty a good husband. He was always attentive and generous. A true gentleman (10 ego points)!

LITTLE GREY CELLS - PSYCHOLOGICAL PROFILE OF FRANKLIN CLARKE

Is Franklin clever?

  • School report for Franklin Clarke. According to his teachers, Franklin was a good student but lacked discipline.

Is Franklin sure of himself?

  • Take Franklin: he's fallen for her sweet-talking charms... He's a lovely boy, very plucky and sure of himself but he's so naive when it comes to women...

Is Franklin a seducer?

  • Come on, Poirot. I'm a married man. And, Miss Grey is already being courted by Franklin Clarke...

Does Franklin like trains?

  • 'The Railway Children' E. Nesbit.

Is Franklin impulsive?

  • (...) Things could have got pretty bad if you weren't a really cool blooded guy. I envy you for that!

Is Franklin generous?

  • It is normal that people helping with this inquiry should be reimbursed. Starting with you, Miss Drower. Please allow me to pay for your train tickets. (10 ego points).

Say that Thora Grey bothered him (3 ego points). Then invent an item of proof found in Alice Ascher's tobacco shop (1 ego point) or lie about the fingerprints found on Cust's typewriter (3 ego points).

For revealing murderer's identity you will get a trophy Imperial moustache.
