Finding and digging out treasures in Treasure Hunter Simulator Treasure Hunter Simulator Guide and Tips
Last update: 14 December 2018
The main goal of Treasure Hunter Simulator is to find treasures. However, you need to find them first and then dig out. The whole treasure hunting process is divided into three stages - you look for a spot with a treasure, try to detect it, and then you dig it out. This chapter focuses on these stages.
- Stage 1 - looking for a spot with a treasure
- Stage 2 - using a metal detector
- Stage 3 - digging out and cleaning a treasure
Stage 1 - looking for a spot with a treasure
This is the first step of every treasure hunting. Keep walking around the level until you see a magnifying glass icon displayed in the bottom right corner of the screen. It informs you that a treasure is nearby. Usually, you will find a few treasures hidden next to each other - the icon will point the treasure that is the closest to you.
Stage 2 - using a metal detector
Take out your detector after you notice the magnifying glass icon - press RMB to do that. Activate the device and start walking around the area. The icon should start to fill. When that happens, it will mean that you are getting closer to a treasure. This is signalized both by the icon and by the sound effects - the closer you get, the faster the sound.
Keep searching the area until the magnifying glass icon gets full - after that, you will be able to proceed to another stage.
Stage 3 - digging out and cleaning a treasure
Wait for the searching bar to get full (the magnifying glass icon). Then, start moving the cursor slightly to the sides (watch out, the icon should be full at all times). Do that until the detector starts glowing yellow. When that happens, press the interaction button (LMB) to start digging out that treasure. The window in the bottom left corner of the screen informs you about the treasure's size and depth. The depth indicates how many times you will have to use a shovel - 3 for a shallow treasure, 4 for a middle, and 5 for deep.
Note - the direction from which you approach a treasure matter. If you are standing uphill, you won't be able to dig out a treasure (the game will inform you about that). Always dig out treasures by standing downhill.
After finding a treasure (and being sure that it is not a nail, a button or any other piece of metal), you must identify it. The process is simple - click on the button located in the bottom right corner of the screen. The item is now clean - look at the upper right corner. You can see information about your finding - its material, condition, and amount of money you will get by selling it. Junk will almost always give you only $1.
Note - you have an unlimited inventory space for treasures.
