Weather Effects Cards in Thronebreaker The Witcher Tales Thronebreaker Guide and Walkthrough
Last update: 23 October 2018
Weather Effects Cards allow you to control the course of the duel by creating a specific effect in a given row. Depending on the weather effect in the row, units will take a certain amount of damage. Below is a description of the weather conditions that can be found in Thronebreaker: The Witcher Tales.
Biting Frost
Biting Frost causes the weakest units in a row to take 2 points of damage at the beginning of each turn. Very importantly, if there are more units with the lowest force points in a row, they will all be affected by the effects of frost.
- In order to maximize the effect of the Biting Frost, try to eliminate or move individual units in such a way that the row contains as many units with the lowest value of force points as possible. For this task you can use units such as Lyrian Arbalest or Strays Slinger.
- In order to maximize the effect of the Impenetrable Fog, try to eliminate or move individual units in such a way that the row contains as many units with the lowest value of force points as possible. For this task you can use units such as Lyrian Arbalest or Strays Slinger.
Impenetrable Fog
The Impenetrable Fog causes the strongest units in a row to take 2 points of damage at the beginning of each turn. Very importantly, if there are more units with the lowest force points in a row, they will all be affected by the effects of frost.
Fire
The Fire causes all units in the row covered by this effect to have a 33% chance of taking 2 points of damage at the beginning of the turn. This move will allow the opponent to start filling up a row free of negative effects, but they can only hold to 9 units there. Then, the opponent will be forced to play cards into the fire.
- If you're using a fire-starting unit, consider adding units to your army that allow you to move your opponents' units to the desired rows. A good example is Strays Slinger, who moves 3 selected units to the given order and inflicts 2 points of damage on them.
