- Complete daily tasks to gather gold that can be spent on additional cards or an entrance ticket to the Arena.
- At first gather gold but don't spend it on cards. It's better to use it to gain access to the Arena. Not only will this help you become better at playing your cards, but you also will have a chance to gain additional prizes.
- Despite the fact that Magic Elixir has three charges, it can be used only once per turn.
- If you receive damage and lose a rune surrounding the portrait, you will draw one card. Prophecy cards can be played right away, without any magic cost. If you have removals, make sure to eliminate minions that are about to attack, or those that are the biggest threat.
- Protection cards can be attack in the first order. Hide vulnerable minions behind ones with Protection.
- Minions with Aim can shoot at units from other rows.
- Action cards that allow you to move minions between rows, are especially useful when it comes to minions that can attack more than once per turn. This way you will be able to kill a minion in each row.

Game modes
The Elder Scrolls: Legends has 5 available game modes and they differ from one another. This way the developers made the gameplay even more exciting. One should keep in mind that daily tasks can be achieved in PvP Battle and PvP Arena. Training with CPU does not count.
Training
You can test your skills and decks against CPU. There are three difficulty levels to choose from. You will start with the easiest one, then you will have to defeat a medium opponents, to finally face the most demanding foe.
PvP Battle
A basic game mode in every card game - a typical duel between two players. Each player picks a deck that he will use during the duel. The game ends when one of the players loses all his HP. Additional types of PVP Battles have been provided:
- Quick game - a duel with CPU. A good way to try out your deck and prepare for other players.
- Ranking game - by facing real opponents, you will advance to new ranks. You will start with rank 12, just to reach the Legendary one. Up till rank 9 you can play without losing your points, but after that, the game gets much harder. For each win you will receive a point, but at the same time you will lose it for every failure. For reaching main ranks (9, 5 and 1) you will obtain a copy of a card that is provided in a given month.
Storyline
The storyline will offer you an interesting plot where you will have to make decisions that can affect your hero. Furthermore, you will learn the basic rules of The Elder Scrolls: Legends, and obtain few packs of cards. This mode has been divided into three acts, and each of them consists of a couple of chapters (20 total).
Solo Arena
Here you will draw random cards and build a deck out of them. You will play against CPU, and the more foes you defeat, the greater are the prizes that you can obtain. The gameplay was divided into two stages: first you have to defeat 8 opponents in random order, and then face the bosses. After 3 loses or defeating all your enemies, the game will end and you will obtain your prize. Every time you defeat an opponent, you will be able to pick one card.
PvP Arena
The same as Solo Arena, but this time you will face real opponents, and thus this mode is harder.
Runes
You begin a duel with full HP and 5 runes surrounding your portrait. For each 5 damage you receive, you will lose one rune and draws one card. If you draw a Prophecy card, you can play it immediately. This way you may draw very useful cards (like removals) that will eliminate powerful minions and save your HP.
Your profile
You can access the profile straight from the main menu, by clicking your hero icon in the lower left corner. Here, you will find the following information:
- Your current level.
- Ranks.
- History of duels.
- Daily quests - each day you will receive one random task, and you can have up to three of them at once. If you don't like one of them, you can reshuffle it by clicking "X". Just remember that it is not possible to shuffle the first couple of tasks.
Card collection
Here you can find all the cards that you currently have and decks that you created. You can check the amount of souls (in the lower right corner) that are required to create a card.
Crafting mode (Soul Sight)
Select "Soul Sight" from your card collection and you will be able to create new cards, or retrieve souls from cards that you don't want or need. Click a card to see how many soul you can retrieve (Soul Trap), or how many souls you will have to pay to create it (Soul Summoning). The cost of cards is as follows:
Type | Create a card | Soul trap |
normal | 50 Souls | 5 Souls |
rare | 100 Souls | 20 Souls |
epic | 400 Souls | 100 Souls |
legendary | 1200 Souls | 400 Souls |
Shop
Here you can buy additional packs of cards or tickets to enter the Arena. As far as you can buy cards with money obtained in the game (100 gold is 1 pack) or real money, you can enter the Arena only with real money.
Mulligan
Mulligan, means selection of cards before the actual duel. It's a crucial moment that can affect the entire battle. Mastering the art of shuffling cards can give you a big advantage from the very start. Each player receives a random set of cards (3 or 4 - depending whether you have Magic Elixir or not). You can keep your cards or shuffle them as you want. Just keep in mind that you can do it only once, so think carefully. You need to think about the enemies that you are about to fight and come up with a right strategy. You should seek cards that you can play from the very first turn, so cheap cards that cost 1, 2, or 3 mana points. If you start with the Elixir, you can play a creature that requires more mana.
Building your deck
To increase your chance of winning, you should invest some effort in building your own deck. Here are some tips that you may find useful while picking the right cards.
