On this page of our guide to The Invincible, we have presented some useful tips that you may find useful during your exploration of the planet Regis III. Although the game is quite simple in terms of mechanics, it still contains several elements that could be clarified.

Always respond during dialogues

The Invincible is a game based mainly on the plot - a significant part of it is dialogues with other characters and Yasna's inner monologues. The presence of dialogue is indicated by a comic bubble icon at the bottom of the screen. When the icon appears, hold down the answer button (Space on the keyboard, L2/LT on the controller) and select one of the dialogue options (mouse wheel or front buttons on the controller).

Most dialogues have a time limit to respond - you have to choose a response before the background behind the dialogue icon disappears or the dialogue ends. The exceptions are the most important plot decisions - you have an unlimited amount of time to make them. If the icon's background does not disappear, it means that the decision will be somewhat significant.

Use the map and other tools

The Invincible puts a lot of focus on the exploration of an undiscovered planet. Yasna is equipped with four different tools that will come in handy during her adventure - a map, telemeter, tracker, and detector. Most of these tools are used in specific parts of the story - the game will let you know about the need to use them through a notification displayed on the right side of the screen. So you don't have to keep them all the time.

The map is especially useful for orientation in the field. Yasna automatically marks important places on it, and by clicking on its upper left corner, you can check the planetary map, showing all the visited regions. When viewing the map, your current mission objective will also be displayed at the top of the screen.

Do not fear death

Regis III is a mysterious, dangerous planet - but you don't have to worry too much. You can't lose in The Invincible. Yasna cannot die, so no enemies or obstacles, such as force fields or streams of lava, will prematurely end your adventure.

Go out of your way to explore

As stated in the previous tip, you cannot die in The Invincible. Although Yasna mentions her limited oxygen supply at the beginning of the game, there is no time limit binding you in terms of gameplay. This means that you can indulge in free exploration of Regis III.

This exploration it worth it because The Invincible contains some minor side missions that are not marked by the game in any way. It could be a machine repair or bringing something to a specific location. Some missions will reward you with new comic panels, others with achievements and additional narration. You're not on a ticking clock - explore as much as you want.

Don't worry about where you leave your vehicle

You will unlock vehicles only after a certain time - they will serve you for faster and easier travel around Regis III. You will be forced to leave them from time to time. Don't worry about where you leave them - your vehicles automatically appear at important places, ensuring that you will never have to take an excessively long route back to them.
