Chapter 2 - Three Days Earlier | The Hong Kong Massacre Walkthrough The Hong Kong Massacre Guide and Walkthrough
Last update: 28 January 2019
This page of our guide to The Hong Kong Massacre contains walkthroughs for all the levels available in the second chapter. The descriptions focus on the levels' unique elements or places where you can die easily.
Creating a perfect walkthrough is impossible - some of the enemies are placed in different locations every time you start a given level (e.g. after your character's death). Don't expect that shooting blindly at the same spot will allow you to kill an enemy. That bandit can stand in a different place.

Can You Fly Punks?
Number of enemies: 14
Time limit for the challenge: 40 seconds
Commentary: This is the first mission where the hero must jump from one rooftop to another. You do that by pressing the jump button. However, this action can only be used in specific places - if you have problems with doing it, get closer to another edge of the rooftop (places where you can see a small wooden balcony). Be ready to fight after every jump to another rooftop. After the first one, the main character will be attacked by three enemies.
The final part of the mission, the battle in a large kitchen (see the picture), can be rather problematic. The southern entrance to the kitchen is a good spot from which you can shoot at the enemies. You won't risk your life - some of the enemies carry a rifle or a shotgun. However, you can't be too defensive in your fighting style, especially if you want to complete the level within the time limit.
Shootout at Kung Fangs
Number of enemies: 16
Time limit for the challenge: 42 seconds
Commentary: This level takes place in offices. Jump through the windows and shoot the enemies while you are sliding on the tables. Start the level by going east. At the end of the level, you have to go north and eliminate all remaining enemies.
Vengeance Comes Out Blazing
Number of enemies: 20
Time limit for the challenge: 1 minute and 5 seconds
Commentary: This level takes place in a rather large location. We recommend eliminating enemies by visiting the rooms counterclockwise. The conference room is one of the first locations you will visit. That room has a large table which you can use to slide. The office in the center is the most problematic. Here, you will encounter at least 3 enemies. Also, watch out for the enemy with a shotgun in the southern room. Luckily, you have plenty of time to complete the time limit challenge.
Taking Down the House
Number of enemies: 20
Time limit for the challenge: 1 minute
Commentary: The casino is another large map. Shortly after starting the mission, your character will reach a room with pillars and four enemies. Secure it and then start eliminating enemies inside the adjacent rooms (you can, e.g. go a bit to the east and then turn north). Watch out for the room presented in the picture above.
No More Mr. Nice Guy
Number of enemies: 18
Time limit for the challenge: 56 seconds
Commentary: In our opinion, this mission isn't as challenging as the previous ones. However, this doesn't mean that you can be less cautious. We recommend going east, then south and lastly west. Watch out in the alley presented in the picture above - this area is roamed by at least three enemies. What is more, two of them are using better weapons - a shotgun and a rifle. Jump to the sides and hide behind nearby crates and other large objects.
Got a Black Belt! In Guns
Number of enemies: 13
Time limit for the challenge: 50 seconds
Commentary: This mission takes place in a smaller location which means that the enemies are placed closer to each other. We recommend starting with the western room. After that, go back to the central part of the map - watch out in the alley presented in the picture above. Here, you will encounter the largest group of enemies (at least three). You must also watch out for the enemies from the northern room (they can shoot you through the windows). Leave the enemies in the eastern room for last.
The Tiger
This level doesn't have any challenges. You don't need to complete it within a specific time limit, and you can use the bullet time freely.
Commentary: This level is the second boss fight. The enemy is called Chang Wong. If you can, take a rifle with you. Besides that, you should also try to get 10 Clip Size and Extra Clip upgrades for this weapon. The location where you face the boss is vertical. The main hero and Chow walk in separate corridors.
Shoot the boss whenever he gets close to any of the windows or other destructible parts of the wall. You don't have to use the slowmotion, but it can be helpful. Your character dies after one hit. Wong, on the other hand, has a health bar.
The boss has, to some extent, similar moves as your character. You don't have to keep moving up the screen and chase Wong. Try to stop in one spot for longer and look for a chance to shoot the boss while moving sideways.
You will encounter regular enemies, too. Try to shoot them before they manage to attack you. If your ammo is almost depleted, think about picking up a weapon dropped by one of the enemies. Sadly, everyone here is carrying the weakest weapon - a pistol. This is why we recommend upgrading your rifle. Good ammo management will allow you to complete the entire level with using only the rifle.
