How to earn credits?

Collecting credits from fallen enemies is one of the main sources of acquiring this currency. - Earning credits | The Cycle - Basics - The Cycle Guide
Collecting credits from fallen enemies is one of the main sources of acquiring this currency.

Credits in The Cycle game are earned in several ways:

  1. Killing monster scattered on the Fortuna III planet-from each killed monster you will acquire a small sum of this currency. The stronger the monster (which is signaled by the color of its name), the more credits will drop.
  2. Completion of contracts - for completing contracts you will receive a certain amount of credits. The exact amount of money received depends on the type of contract itself, as well as on how many identical contracts (level - displayed on the left side of the screen) have already been completed during the game.
  3. Collect credits scattered on the surface of Fortuna III planet - in many places on the surface of the planet, you will be able to collect containers that, when interacting with them, will reward you with a large amount of credits.
  4. Killing other players-each player you kill will drop a certain amount of credits, depending on how much he/she had in his/her pockets. This is the most effective way to get this currency, as it allows you to collect up to several hundred credits at once, however it is also the riskiest-another player can just kill you.

How to earn credits quickly - tips

To sum up, a few tips that speed up the process of accumulating credits, namely:

  1. During the first minutes of gameplay, concentrate on killing all the monsters you encounter - most of them will fall down in a few seconds, giving you large amounts of this valuable currency.
  2. Fulfill contracts throughout the entire match. When you complete them, you will receive credits that will give you an edge against other players. What is more, at the end of the game you will receive a reward in the form of crafting materials - their final quantity and quality depends on the number of completed contracts. Details can be found in the "Crafting and modifying equipment" section.
  3. Try not to engage in skirmishes with other players unless absolutely necessary. During each such encounter, you risk death at the hands of an opponent and, more importantly, fighting an enemy who made a Pact with another player - then the encounter will escalate into a 1 vs 2 battle that you will certainly not win.
  4. Examine the map thoroughly and constantly. If you see buildings, containers or small research facilities, you can be sure that there are containers with credits located at those locations.
  5. Saving is as important as earning. Think twice if buying a particular item is the best idea - or is it perhaps better to collect enough credits for a better weapon or use them to get a Heavy Turret? These types of choices can save you a lot of money, as well as increase your overall chances of success.
