Crafting and modifying equipment | The Cycle The Cycle guide, tips

Last update: 29 October 2019

Crafting plays a key role in The Cycle game - thanks to it you will be able to create new weapons - both main and sidearms - kits or even special abilities. With it, you can also modify the created items, giving them new properties. In this section you will learn how crafting works in The Cycle, as well as how to modify the created equipment.

Crafting - how to use

In the Crafting section you will find weapons and items you can create and modify. - Crafting and modifying equipment | The Cycle - Basics - The Cycle Guide
In the Crafting section you will find weapons and items you can create and modify.

Crafting can only be used in the main menu of the game - you will not be able to access it during the actual gameplay. To enter the crafting window, click on the Crafting tab. Here you can choose from 7 different categories:

  • Primary weapons - in this tab you will find primary weapons like assault rifles, submachine guns, snipers or all sorts of grenade launchers and missiles.
  • Secondary Weapons - in this tab you will find weapons that can be used as a sidearm, instead of the handgun you start the game with.
  • Gadgets - in this section you can find useful utility items, with which, for instance, you can teleport out of battle or heal an ally.
  • Abilities - here you can find special abilities that can be used during combat. Each character can have 2 abilities at the same time and their use is limited only through the cooldown time - do not require any resources to use.
  • Kits - here you can find kits that are basically the suits that the character uses while on the surface of Fortuna III. Here you can choose from several types of kits - the affect the way you will be able to move around the map, as well as influence the overall durability of the character.
  • Materials - here you can find all the crafting materials currently in your inventory, along with their exact quantities.
  • Vehicles - in the last tab you can find currently available vehicles that can be summoned on the surface of Fortuna III.

Apart from the last two tabs - Materials and Vehicles - in each one you can find numerous items that the player can create, provided that he/she has the necessary crafting materials. You just need to select the item you want to create and then press the Craft button - after several seconds the item will appear in your inventory.

Modifying the equipment

Crafted weapons can then be modified. - Crafting and modifying equipment | The Cycle - Basics - The Cycle Guide
Crafted weapons can then be modified.

Apart from the starting items, all weapons and kits can be modified after they are created. Due to this fact, they will acquire new attributes - like, for instance, increased range, damage, capacity of the magazine or stability in case of weapons and increasing the durability of the character or the height of jump in case of kits.

First of all, you need to create the desired modification. To do this, open the window of the desired weapon or set that you want to modify, select one of the available slots (from 3 to 4), then select the mod and click the "Craft" button. After a few seconds, the modification will be created.

To install a modification, you need to go to the Loadout tab, select the weapon or item for which it was created, and enter the details about the subject. There, select the slot to which the created modification fits and install it on the object. From now on, this modification - or several of them at the same time-will be active and affect the weapon or kit in a certain way.

Note - you can create multiple modifications for a single slot, but you can only install one modification. So, first of all, create mods for each slot, and then, when you get better items or access to new ones, create now mods.

Acquisition of crafting materials

Crafting materials in The Cycle game are acquired in three ways:

  1. Collecting them on the Fortuna III map-they are scattered all over the map, always in the same places.
  2. Completing contracts during the game-for completed contracts you will receive a package with a certain amount of crafting materials of a given category. The more contracts you complete, the more materials you get, and the better quality the items will be.
  3. Breaking down unnecessary equipment-weapons can be disassembled by selecting them from the inventory window and then holding the Scrap button shown on the screen. This way you can reacquire some of the raw materials invested in creating it.
