General tips Arena of Valor Guide

In this chapter you'll find useful tips that will help you win more matches and become more useful for your team.
1. When choosing a character, always try to adjust to the rest of the team. There can be various team compositions, but usually a melee fighter, a ranged fighter, and support are a must. There should also be an ADC (attack damage carry), who will guarantee great damage later in the game.
2. Gameplay in Strike of Kings is very fast, and building have low durability and high importance. When playing on the lane, first and foremost try not to die. If you get killed, chances are that the enemy will destroy your tower. Surviving and farming - this is vital. Killing enemies is a valuable, but secondary objective.
3. Towers and inhibitors in Strike of Kings are of greater importance than in classic MOBA games. This is mostly because inhibitors don't respawn, so once they are destroyed, a given lane will be constantly under attack from stronger enemy minions. What's more, Nexus without cover can be easily and quickly destroyed, even if it's protected by other players. Protecting your inhibitors and destroying enemy inhibitors should be your main objective. If you lose even one inhibitor, then someone will have to protect a weakened lane until the end of the match.
4. In Strike of Kings there are no vision totems, so good communication is of great importance. Always try to ping your allies or write to them if you notice an enemy or an enemy disappears from your lane.
5. When choosing a ranged character try to learn so-called orb walking as fast as possible. It consists in dealing as much damage as possible while moving. Your task is to move towards the enemy (chase) or away from them (runaway) in every free second between subsequent auto-attacks.
In Strike of Kings it's much easier than on mouse and keyboard. To perform orb walking, you must constantly tilt the movement stick while keeping the attack button pressed. Sometimes it's a good idea to perform orb walking interchangeably in two directions perpendicular to the enemy. This way we can avoid skillshots.
6.When playing a character who doesn't have skills that require aiming, you should focus on good skill rotation. At the beginning of a fight, think how long it will last. If you attack a fragile hero, the fight will probably be very short, whereas fighting against a tank will probably take some time. Short fights should begin with skills with short cooldown. Chances are that you will be able to use it again before the outcome is determined. Single seconds can be really important. In longer fights the order in which you use skills is not that important, but the right use of CC skills is vital. If you're not sure that you'll win, better keep CC for later in case you realize that you're losing and must run.
