You can unlock this achievement during the main storyline, after you return to the Geothermal Valley from Flooded Archives. While going towards the Observatory, you walk over a small bridge, next to which there is a waterfall (the Ridgeline Base Camp). A bit ahead, go left - right past this location, you can go left again, off the main path, to the location, where there are several Remnants camping. Approach the tombstone to get the achievement. Do this before you approach the Observatory.

If you have missed the funeral, you need to replay the Flooded Archives stage. Towards the end, you get to Geothermal Valley - go to the location described above, where the funeral will be taking place. Do not approach the Observatory, because after this you will not be able to replay the memory - go left first, towards the location where the funeral is taking place.
