Journeys - general description | Dungeons and combat Regalia: Of Men and Monarchs Guide
Last update: 31 May 2017
Once you go to the castle, you can press the icon visible on the globe, thanks to which you will access the journey planning screen. Here, you can define the make-up of your party (by default, you can only travel with five of them, unless you upgrade the city square). It is a good idea to consider it, because although only four characters take part in a battle, it is better to have more of them with you, just in case. The main character is the obligatory party member for each journey, and you will always have to have him on the party.
Upon completion of the party, you will see the vast world map. It is up to you which region you pick . Note that with reaching each location, time starts passing by and the journey itself takes around 7 days. If there is very little time left until the end of the chapter, there is no point in starting a new adventure.
Once you roll over the shoe icon, you will receive information about the specific dungeon:
- Crossed swords icon - informs you about how many battles you have to fight in the dungeon. Usually, their number ranges from 3 to 4.
- Dialog box icon- informs you about how many times you will be allowed to enter the camp and rest there. What makes this piece of information important is the fact that you can revive your fallen party members and save your game.
- Exclamation mark icon - informs you how many special events there are in the dungeon. Once you walk onto a specific field, there is a cutscene, where Kay talks to someone or interacts with an object. Regardless of your choice, various events can occur. Most frequently, you will receive additional experience points, new quests, or you will encounter enemies.
Journeys are the core of the game and in any chapter, you should visit, at least, several regions. Remember that each event of entering a location (by pressing the icon) a specific number of days. At the same time, if you do not complete all fields in a given location and return to the city, you will have to spend even more time on returning there in the future. Therefore, once you visit a dungeon, try to complete it. To make things easier for you, you can ignore visiting camps and go there to regenerate your party only every several battles.
