Diplomacy Regalia: Of Men and Monarchs Guide
Last update: 18 May 2017
From time to time, a diplomatic missive will be sent to you. In such case, you can take either side of the conflict. In order to engage in diplomatic considerations, go to the main hall, approach the big table there, and click on the handshake icon – this will take you to the realm of diplomacy.
The gameworld is in a state of war and your kingdom will occasionally have to side with someone. The nation of Lordemar is at war with Shedu, and Alheimr with the Epire. Every time a missive comes in, you will be able to chose the side you want to support. By supporting one of the sides, you will improve the relations with them, hence gaining access to a slew of valuable bonuses. Remember that you can’t be friends with everyone – you have to choose.
You can develop your relations with the given faction up to level 4. Every time you support a faction in a missive, it will add one point to your relations. The set bonuses from each faction is as follows:
On top of this, with every level, a faction yields items that grant reinforcements in combat. That can be very useful, especially during those missions, in which you have to survive a couple of turns. When it comes down to the choice of faction, you should consider your play style.
Shedu offer skills that increase damage and accuracy. Lordemar, on the other hand, increase shield every turn. I opted for Lordemar, as they have good perks and the team member provided by them can buff others, allowing them, for example, an additional attack. When it comes down to the choice between Alheimr and the Empire, it’s more difficult. I went with the Empire to strengthen my part with additional resistance. Mifune is also a valuable asset.
