System requirements for Realm Royale Game Realm Royale Guide, Tips

Realm Royale is a game by Hi-Rez Studios, created entirely in the Unreal Engine. This battle royale is very much similar to Fortnite: Battle Royale, but they're not identical. Realm Royale should even run on computers that have an integrated GPU (such as the Intel HD 4600), but it also requires DirectX 11. You won't be able to play if you have a powerful card that doesn't support the technology. The graphics themselves are void of any of the fancy effects known from modern games. There are no sharp textures (the game requires only 1GB of GPU VRAM) or anything else that would make the game look really spectacular. The gameplay is however extremely fluent. There are no drops of framerate, stuttering or visible loading of assets during gameplay. During intense fights, a computer with an Intel Core i5 4460 on board, AMD Radeon 270x 2GB GPU and 8GB RAM was pretty much getting bored: the graphics card was using 15% of its power, the processor around 40% and the RAM still had around 4GB of free memory.
Bottom line: Realm Royale is a game that runs great on old computers, and that's that. The game looks more like a mobile production, but this has its advantages. Most people should appreciate the fluency of gameplay in a game like this one, where precise elimination of enemies is the single most important aspect.
Below, you can find all the graphics settings. This will let you find a compromise between good visuals and fluent gameplay:
- Resolution - set it to the native resolution of your screen - otherwise, the graphics will get blurry.
- Resolution Scale - changes the resolution of the render of the gameworld without affecting the HUD. If you're having problems with achieving fluent gameplay, you can set it to a value below 100. This won't make things blurry.
- Anti-Aliasing - this is one of the settings that makes the biggest difference in terms of visual quality, but it's also one of the most demanding ones. If the game runs slowly, turn it off.
- World Detail - the greater the level of detail, the more objects you will see farther away. It stresses both the processor and the GPU.
- Shadow Detail - the shadows in this game were largely neglected - even when set to high, you can see some glitches in their rendering. If the game runs slowly, consider turning it off.
- Textures - they look almost identical on medium and low. If you have little VRAM on your GPU, consider turning it off.
- Particle Detail - smoke, dust, etc. I recommend setting this to high - it will allow you see the smoke coming from the forge from farther away.
- Shader Detail - shaders, occlusion, etc. If you have a poor GPU, consider turning it off.
